The action in bonds is impressive, but they're not making much headway toward the monthly A. So what do you make of that? It's strong intra-day, but not really stringing together multiple days of rally. Is this just an expression of folks moving money to bonds when equities fail to...
Saw something over the weekend regarding last week's gains in the XLF. I wasn't paying close attention to XLF given the half Nov, half Dec week last week, but some of the individual stocks there had double digit teen gains.
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but it looks like Capitol Hill is crafting a bill to block the IMF's role in a Euro bailout. Possibly an underlying cause for the weakness going into the weekend.

Funny too, I have the XLF at -4 on the number line. Look at yesterday's action, (zero in my book) yet BAC, yes, BAC, with a +2, (or you could squint and call it +3). Point being, BAC was the "strongest" of the XLF?!?!? Pretty interesting action.
I mentioned this yesterday, (or maybe the day before, it's all getting blurred now) but the XLV is at a 9 on my number line now. BMY looking particularly good today despite the "weakness," (if you can call today's action weak).
XLV
Healthcare looking strong lately. I have a 7 on the numberline for the XLV stretching back to the beginning of Nov. In the space, look at MRK, best price action in the group, and decent intra-day price action over the past week or so despite the market weakness.
(that said, I'm...
TLT is strong, but it only just confirmed my monthly Friday. Are you looking at TLT for now, or more for December? I know you've mentioned the lack of follow through come the end of the month. Just curious, thanks Mav.
My weekly A down in the SPY was 117.56, and we've confirmed that. I wonder how much this matters though given it's Wednesday of a short week? Since we're sitting right at/below the monthly it's tough to imagine we're going to resume to the upside.
I'm interested in seeing what happens next...
Could be a good fade tell though right?
Better than having to drown out the guy outside using a leaf blower when a quieter push-broom would do just fine...
Less is probably more when it comes to what I have to add. Let's just put it this way; excel and my iPhone's calculator put in their share of hard work each day. lol
