Day trading - How / Where?

Some are just so afraid of futures for some unknown reason. The above is generally protected against by the broker - so losing more of your account than you have is not likely in this day and age. If daytrading is your goal; then with less than 25k; futures is your only real option. (You...

    Forclosure Map

Can't speak to TN and NC, but I can speak to NW MT. I live in the pink corner by Glacier, and like many other parts of the country, the number of people coming in and driving land and home prices up is absolutely amazing. Contractors coming in and buying the wheat fields and hay fields...

Screenshot pic, how do i fix this ?

Only thing I can think of is to auto hide the task bar, then raise it up so there is more room on the bar for individual tabs. Make 'em pretty, Chris PS 1Reason, forgot about that!!

    Increasing your trade size.

Preface this with the fact I trade futures, thus adding contracts generally in 1 or 2 or 3 lot increments (or taking them off). I have found that if I simply trade a fixed percentage of my account - generally a fixed percent risk; after each trade happens this is then readjusted with the new...

Anybody else short US 30 Bond

Now a guy's gonna have to do twice the size to maintain - sure gonna make volume look like it took a big jump. Maybe it will pick up some liquidity - I mostly gave it up after the 10yr took the lead. So I trade twice the volume anyway.

Yes that is what that means - they will not show up on tape, but they will be reported.

    CME and NYMEX

Does anybody really think the consolidation of the US futures markets into one mega exchange is good for traders (other than those who are members or seat holders)? Already got off market block trades in the financials and a loss of market depth - bet we see the commisions up on financials...

CBOT Interest Rate complex migrates to Globex this weekend...

Really am not liking this lack of total volume and the 5 deep depth. T&S is also showing a serious lack of size trading. Gonna have to try and monitor the block trade page and see how that effects things. But so far am still hunting for my setups and they still seem to be showing...

Odds Czar: Simple Biases In the Futures Market: 2008

Art, do appreciate your continuing posts here. Just thought up a question, you have no calender biases to the right of the indexes, would that be due to not doing the research or failing to find any corelations to the days of the week etc. Thanks, again Chris And did I miss the year...

    Pictures of your trading stations

You are using your cell as a modem then? Did you go wireless or wired and how are you keeping the phone powered? Might I ask what kind of speeds you are getting? Alltel is telling me I can get DSL speeds for roughly 1/2 (a touch more adding another line and new phone dedicated for modem...

    The Surf Report

This thread has ceased to have any sort of interest at all. With the crap being bantered about. Why is that you self proclaimed wondertraders do not start your own stuff and leave the BS off of here. But I guess it is par for this site in general - just gone down hill and is in a...

AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

Actually it must go above the HH (in the case of this pic) to be a real 123 bottom. I too am thankful to KR! Chris

AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

As a top and bottom picker at times, this is where I will often take an entry and then use the HH for confirmation if it breaks then it is most likely a good entry. Stop is placed below the HL. Chris

AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

Been enjoying this thread. The ideas here are very similar to what I have been doing for quite some time. I have found the above to be the main reason that I have been able get to the next level in my trading. For the longest time I was one contract only and missed all the good runs and...
