Victor, thx so much for insights. I deal only with registered NFA brokers based in US which should eliminate basic problems. I wonder whether is any database providing such info about brokerage companies besides NFA.

I am about to start new biz as introducing broker in FX markets first and eventually registering with NFA as well. If anybody would share his experience in this area (esp. bad experience :)) it would be greatly appreciated.

July was not as good as June, relatively flat for me. I am starting to open calendar spreads to get some experience with them. I know that you guys traded them. What do you think ?

gnome, actually I do it in futures trading area and if you provide service up to 15 customers and 200K you don`t have to register. But for stocks and options you act under SEC and regulations might be different.

While I`ve been successfully trade stocks and options for some time, now I have people who want me to trade their own accounts. While I am currently working on SEC webpage I would like to hear from traders what certificates do I need to manage Other People`s Money ? Are there any exemptions...

Did not want to touch it, while it is a crazy one, but you just can`t find better deal for shorts. Smaller position seems to be happy medium though.

Mac, thx so much. Still believe that could make another 2-3%, but I was all over Europe, and before I left I had closed most positions but few of them were still open, while I wanted to test idea of trading and travelling... so I placed orders from Brittanny, Paris and London. And this worked...

This week is my off, since I open positions later on. Profit for June was about 7%. This month I want to do more with calendar spreads in similar manner. What`s new on board ?
