    Anybody trade stock warrants

OTC options would not be for retail as their is counter party risk. You will need a large balance sheet. What the exchanges do still have is FLEX options, that are listed products similar to OTC options.

    Israel Englander

Baron, I was on the Amex when I watched his business grow. I started at a competing floor broker. They were much bigger than us. Then he bought a specialist post, then grew off floor. Really smart and focused. $3B+ later, still doing it right.

How do big price moves happen in low volume?

Is that SPX cash at the open of the market?

    Anybody trade stock warrants

One big difference is that you can sell to open all the leaps you want but can't short warrants unless you can get a locate and a borrow. It's often an issue and keeps them trading higher than options do.

    Anybody trade stock warrants

They expired. Anywhere from 2 to 5 years. Sometimes there were two warrants. One for 2 years and one for 5. My brother and father are securities attorneys and did a lot of these.

    Anybody trade stock warrants

Many years ago, I traded warrants vs listed options. For many years, many small stocks came out with units. A unit was a share of common+warrant. This was done by small companies as a quick and easy way to have a second round of funding. Since this market for smaller underwritings has all but...

    Has Day Trading Changed?

We do background checks on all new clients but not credit checks. If you open a futures account, the FCM does a credit check. If you open s PM securities account, the clearing broker does a credit check. With a Reg-t margin account, they do not. Bob

    Has Day Trading Changed?

I can see how extreme day trading margin works well for those that are responsible. All I'm saying is that as the introducing broker next in line for losses, I would not be interested in general in offering higher than 4x span margin for day traders. I've been in the business long enough to be...

    Has Day Trading Changed?

They do. You don't have to stick to ES. You can trade metals, soft, currency pairs etc.

    Has Day Trading Changed?

I never suggested using excess leverage. We don't offer $500 ES margin and never will. BTW, we are introducing brokers. We offer brokerage and cap-intro. Our clients decide what and how they trade. We facilitate them. I don't advise them how or what to trade.

    Has Day Trading Changed?

Both. All I'm saying is that all things being equal, futures day trading has an edge over trading equities. However, the real trick is to find your edge to be consistently profitable. You should stick to whatever that is. I would expect that the skills are portable back and forth, unless you are...

    Has Day Trading Changed?

Without being able to point to a study, I believe day trading has been affected by the advent of ETFs. Many customers buy ETFs rather than a portfolio of stocks. You lose some of that ebb and flow of money moving in and out of "stocks" directly, that created volume and movement for day traders...

Question about getting a job in a Prop Shop Trading

We offer customer accounts where each account is owned by a different entity or person with their own EIN# or SS#, all with SIPC protection. Accounts are not related in any fashion. You know I'm very familiar with Vtrader, because I was a member for 1 year in 2010. If AAA LLC owns account...

Question about getting a job in a Prop Shop Trading

A prop firm with PM accounts is not a typical set up. We don't have this issue.

Question about getting a job in a Prop Shop Trading

Our clients can get margin calls and DT calls and meet them next day. Risk calls have to be addressed when the clearing firms calls or we call the client.

How do you know whether volatility will rise or fall in the future?

You never asked a question about "change in (historical) volatility". You focused on american vs European style options and of you are short or long. And you get me worried when you say, "As said my calc shows a net loss $8075." It is not possible for me to lose money if the stock is up 15...
