Not much of a solution. Trading futures is a whole different game than stocks. Some might like it, some will crash. The leverage, the speed, the fact that you are trading a market leader, etc.. That's a different topic though. Jaba

I'm not shure if this helps, but why not get Quotetracker (free), and subscribe to something like scottrader data feed, which is free too and runs with quote tracker. That's good enough if you just begin trading to get your feet wet, however after a while you WILL have to move to a paid data...

I know people that watch 5 leaders of every sector even if they trade tier 2 stocks. I don't know where they get the bandwidth or screen real-estate to watch all this stuff. I don't watch tier 1 stocks (unless there's important news on one of them like earnings), I only watch sectors, nasdaq...

Some data feed providers display only 1 level of each ECN on Level 2. Some display 2, 3, or more levels of the same ECN. So for example if you placed a sell order ISLD at 50.85, and there's another sell order on ISLD with lower price, say 50.7 your order will not show up on some Level 2 windows...

even if you consider buying the stock at the offer, use a limit order. Say a stock trades at 51.20 x 51.35, and you want to buy at 51.35 (offer), always send a limit buy order at, or slightly above the offer, say 57.50. Market order can get you filled at 60, not a good idea imho. Just my two...

I don't know who your main broker is but you might want to check Interactive Brokers. I gave up on Datek sometime ago, after I couldn't get a confirmation on a trade (lost $3k, grrrr....), to myTrack. Then to IB like 7 months ago. Love it. I hope this helps. Jaba
