Yes you can. If you don't you can't get 100% winners for an entire year twice ever. There is no such thing as 100% winners in this business.

I doubt anyone will easily abandon a strategy they thoroughly backtested. Unless the historical drawdown is exceeded by a lot. My problem is will obtaining a strategy that works in the first place. Sticking to it is no problem since i'll just automated it and go find another one. :D

So the holy grail is sticking to ur plan? Is that all? But anyone with a backtester can find out the max. drawdown and profitability right? Why would 80% abandon their plan if they already know the drawdown numbers? I read stories on ET about people trading a method for months/years and...

Hmmm...if this system works and everyone starts trading it...wouldn't that make it not work anymore? Lets see...90% of traders lose, 10% wins. If this simple system works and the 90% starts automating it, we'll have more and more winners until there is no one else left to win from. No?

NOTE : 85% drawdown on the backtest reports posted by progers82, not original system. I don't think its a good idea to risk more than 85% of ur capital to get 400% returns. You only know if ur system is failing at 90% drawdown which is close to total wipeout. On a $1 mil acc, u will lose...

Another guy claiming he can predict the market at 90% or better. *yawnz* Maybe the fact that no one have proven their claim ever tells us something about that?

How can anyone "control" index futures when the value of the contract is pegged to the Index? Even if he spends billions to sell down ES, if SPX shoots thru the roof...ES will follow after the sell down. No?? :confused:
