Actually, you can usually tell. I believe I was 75% correct on this part. But I dont' care about slow or fast days anymore. Look at possible news releases, earning reports from prominent firms, or important economic reports. Next week is options X week. It will be volatile.

For slow days, buy/sell extremes would be a good trade. I guess on slow days, people are just impatient and just want to jump in for the fun.

We're still in a down trend. If you go counter trend, know when to jump out quick.
