    Signs of a squeeze

Maybe my definition of short squeeze isn't the standard one, but a short squeeze can happen and it be a dead cat bounce. For example a lot of times even in a bearish market or stock, there can be too many shorts loaded on the bus and as price moves up people will buy into their stops so that...

    Signs of a squeeze

I don't understand why someone would have to determine who or why a short squeeze is taking place(unless for educational purposes). If you can determine a short squeeze has a reasonable probability and profit from it, who made it happen wouldn't seem relevant? Or put in another way, it's...

    How to trade single currencies?

There's simple TA and than there's advance TA. Both can be effective, although for most people generally speaking I'd say simple TA is their best shot at a trading career or producing any type of consistent money. There's nothing arbitrary about it, you can literally pull up a blank chart...

    How to trade single currencies?

I don't have the luxury of thinking that small yet. Just meaning I trade to make money. I assume you're trading or want to potentially trade to make money too.

ES mini futures ahead of NFP release

That depends. You have to believe in what you're trading, than you have to know your strategy, how to execute it properly, your account size, margins, what exactly are your broker rules regarding positions and margins, and know what position size you're comfortable trading so that the swings...

ES mini futures ahead of NFP release

No, TS separates Futures and Equities account, so if you signed up for an Equities you cannot trade futures, you would be limited to SPY. In addition make sure you're on the right contract for ES which is currently (ESH20).

QQQ from 220 to 230 in a day?

It's been a little worst than normal I would say, but it's still the same game. Suppress price most of the day to get retail out, weak hands and to get shorts adding in, then squeeze them end of day / overnight. Of course if supply dry's up market is likely going to go up, it's difficult to...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

It's just beating a dead horse at this point. If someone doesn't want to get it, they will get exactly what they want. I mean I am doing it too so not casting stones at you, but it's just almost unbelievable. I even offered to travel to where this OP of the thread is, show him TA...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Yes , TA at the simplest form is how well you can measure the percentage and probability of something going from point A to point B before it goes to C after it does X movement(whatever X move would be this is just an example obviously) This is literally what every signal and every type of...

    Maintaining optimal mental state

If that's your perspective I understand. I don't have a problem with my word choice, ill stand by it and I understand your point and it seems we largely agree so no issues there. I've seen a lot of examples where confidence hurts people. Even complete idiots can be confident.

    Maintaining optimal mental state

If there's external factors, particularly financial pressures that can certainly negatively influence them and could carry over and make them take trades they shouldn't, or take trades early etc (trying to make money). So, if you don't NEED to make a certain amount of money each month, that...

    Maintaining optimal mental state

Yes, to be clear, I am not disagreeing with you. That's why I said "BELIEVE and KNOW" (the know being the understanding of your edge, which can translate into belief).

    Maintaining optimal mental state

Yes, mental state is important, but it's just as important to BELIEVE and KNOW what you're doing works. You can have the most solid mind set in the world and if you don't actually believe the trade's you're taking they will not work out. On the flip side you can have an amazing...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

But we both know that we trade what we know, not what we think.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

I tend to agree just from personal experience, I think this is particularly true for futures markets(that it doesn't help). I didn't use volume when I use to trade stocks either, but I know someone that's a decent trader who say it does help them on stocks. So, won't completely poo-poo it...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

I do too now sir, but sometimes when you're younger you don't realize how much you hurt the ducks.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Sorry but it's kind of like when you're younger and feeding bread to ducks... some people tell you that you shouldn't, but its still really really difficult not to.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

So, you have a lot of money? Great. If you live in the continental us would you like me to travel to you. Show you trigger points / setups in the markets that work via back testing (just so you understand what we're looking at it) and than once you understand them, the next day I will live...
