Let's talk about our returns. Got any?

In a general sense you are probably right (allthough I personally know one big exception to this), and the example you are giving is rather typical I'm afraid of some people looking for a quick buck in options. But then again more than 95% of the population never make that kind of money in any job.

Let's talk about our returns. Got any?

This is the strangest quote i have seen in a long time. There are people out there who make money trading derivatives consistantly without being part of some larger corporation or being on the floor.

Let's talk about our returns. Got any?

as was said in another thread allready, some people here are trying to work a very small edge in options. Most of them should make money, but those who know are probably not to eager to give everything away here, which is normal. Most of this could be considered variations of vol-trading. They...

    Automatic Execution Question

you can always exercise if you want to, you can even exercise out-of-the moneys (though you better have a good reason for that), just ask your broker or do it electronically.

    Forex trading with Oanda

E63M is the euro/USD contract; put in euro and then the future and you will get it. Underlying is 125.000 USD. I still see no reason to use a forex-firm if you can get such a smaller spread which more than compensates for the commisions you pay. Liquidity seems good, even if you want to trade...

    Forex trading with Oanda

some remarks: to my knowledge the intrest is calculated in the price of the future i have been trading E6 (although not for a very long time, probably too early to draw any conclusions) and most of the times the spread is something like 1-2 pips. What you add in commission you can save in pips...

What is going on with IB?

"Another question arises, if you sharpshooters are worrying about the nickle and dime option fees, then you can't be making very much trading them. Bigger problem than the cancel fees." Stock77, if you're saying this you really don't understand some of the games people play with options. I...

    Forex trading with Oanda

Why not just trade E6 with IB: the spread is always one or two ticks (even during European hours) and costs are minimal. Seems a better deal to me, or am I missing something.

How much capital is needed as on option local ?

Finding a backer would indeed be a nice solution, it seems however a bit difficult trying to find someone in the States from Belgium. And trying to explain this here in Belgium seems even more hopeless ....

    Proprietary/options Ecn?

Is it possible at some prop firms to trade options? I've been looking a bit on the internet and get the impression however that you can not limit your orders? Is this correct ?

it can be done: although probably not in the sense you mean it. Options trading is trading in more than one dimension.
