    Iterative Refinement

Good AM charts, I agree with you on the FTT Hershey Hinge but what I don't see, on my 5 min ES, is the Hershey Hinge associated with the P3 above it. It looks more to me like a H&S, another of Jack's 'terminators'. Here's my ES: I do not have much experience with the OTR chart and...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

I see what you are saying but what I wish to be able to do is to have BOTH the original 5 min ES chart with a particular set of channels drawn using Pepe's channel tool and a NEW 5 min ES chart with a new set of channels drawn using Pepe's channel tool, running at the same time. I don't want to...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Here's the issue nkhoi. If I use Pepe's channel tool for a particular instrument (say ES) with a particular bar time frame (say 5 min), then EVERY chart of the 5 min ES will have the channels drawn using Pepe's channel tool on it. Now for some people that's not a problem because in fact...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Went over to the NT boards and a generous individual posted the following message which she suggested was a workaround to the Pepe channel carryover issue. As I said, I can't modify or create code with my version of NT but if there is anyone so inclined, her suggestion seems pretty kosher...

    Wtf was THAT?

What is truly irritating is that it's not like this just happened a few moments ago. I do not know enough about how easy it should be to update historical data to make an informed comment. The real time data from Ninja is updated frequently during the day although this typically amounts to a...

    Wtf was THAT?

Thanks banjo. That link was helpful - the old 'when in doubt read the directions' thingy. Now to see if the freakin' data providers (in my case Zenfire) will wipe out the offending trades in such a way as to get rid of the chart nasties. lj

    Wtf was THAT?

Yesterday afternoon I went to the CME web site and saw that they set their daily high (for today) at 8437. Periodic checks throughout the afternoon and evening showed that this did not change. That is what I am using as evidence for the fact that all that early PM crap was just games. To...

    Wtf was THAT?

Nope VinnyB, I am also wondering how this was dealt with. Until just a couple of minutes ago, 8437 was the quoted high. Some guy said everything above 8440 was busted but I don't know where he got his info. 8441 is the CME Daily pivot point so that my be part of why they picked price in...

Adventures in the garden of good and evil

The major YM RTL has been penetrated on a number of fractals (post-market shenanigans aside). The 60 min fractal is very useful since it shows you what the 'big, green machine' is doing. That's one of the reasons for looking at it. At the other end of the spectrum is the smart$ dicking around...

    Wtf was THAT?

Say banjo, any idea how the crew at CME decides where the bust cutoff is? TIA lj

    Wtf was THAT?

Looks like CME is pegging the high at 8437, which interestingly is about where the ES 'went' during the after-hours surprise (no adjustment by CME for the ES prices). Suggests (depends on your broker) that charts may be adjusted appropriately overnight. lj

    Wtf was THAT?

Here's things about a half hour later. The ordinate is still the same but YM time frame is 2 min/bar. Nice double top. lj

    Wtf was THAT?

Here's a 1 second/bar YM. The move to 8375 may be 'real'. The next 2 black bars are clearly the leading pair of a 420 point YM pump and dump. Fits in nicely with OE week though. lj

Adventures in the garden of good and evil

I thought I'd been vaporised - like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqoF-Xu4gIw but instead there's been a reassignment. Great. Here's the follow up on the post from earlier this AM. Is this coincidence or what. Just this once, for those of you with a tardy median nerve palsy, here's the...

Adventures in the garden of good and evil

Hmmm. YM just set a new contract low. What on earth caused this? Yes. The little boy with the red hair, freckles and a gleam in his eye. What do you think? "I'm not telling", said the little boy, "but it's really obvious." Well could you have predicted this? "I don't predict," said the...

Adventures in the garden of good and evil

Answer: No as it would violate the PV paradigm. We already know the answer when the question is applied to Point 2. Now ask the same question of a putative Point 3 or a bar confirming a putative Point 3. My current best guess is that the correct answer is highly contextual, i.e., it...

Adventures in the garden of good and evil

Monday points up if only for a while. A trace uptrend for YM but ES is showing more but both require a firm RTL. The weekly is stronger for YM though and isn't it just plus grand to have tomorrow's newpaper aujourd'hui. The flurry of volume offcionados is expected to peter out if only...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

A point of clarification. What I'm asking is whether there's a way to NOT have Pepe's channels from chart 1 transferred to chart 2. Apologies for any confusion. lj
