    Iterative Refinement

That's what I have too - an incomplete uptraverse. It will be very interesting to see how the bastids open. In academic circles, which quite frankly I'm quite pleased to be done with, "very interesting" = "I really don't have a clue what the open will look like in the AM". Although this...

    Iterative Refinement

Well here's what I'm doing with it. Call yesterday a bridging traverse and today began with a new uptraverse for a new upchannel. I don't think we have shown completion yet. Other people may wish to call yesterday a downchannel. Cool. I don't agree but it gets us to the same spot this AM...

    Iterative Refinement

Hey romanus that 15:58 -59 (using 1 min ES for timing purposes) break of yesterday's RTH high with YM (again using the 1 min bar) crossing over on the 15:59-16:00 bar screwed with my 'big picture'. How about you? lj

    Iterative Refinement

Once again showing that you are a better trader than me. YM really helps me figure (or try to figure) WTF is going on. I will continue to work on the Gaussians (5 minES) but sometimes, perhaps even often, I find bringing in the YM can help me to see what the ES is doing with respect to...

Nice trading nkhoi. I agree the turn was in synch. If that RTL that I drew for the downtraverse last night was correct, then the YM 10:02 and ES 10:05 bars can't be P2 for the uptraverse. lj Oops!

    Iterative Refinement

Right now there appears to be a disconnect in timing between YM and ES with respect to the standard traverse RTL. IMO, YM should lead or at least be close at hand at the time of the cross. Anyone else have any thoughts? lj As I write I see YM leading price south.

    1. Can't think of how to make it much clearer. You appear to be doing a variation on a very old theme of A/D. For any number of reasons I don't find the div particularly useful, like most of that particular variant of A/D but was nonetheless curious as to how you positioned the starting point...

    Iterative Refinement

Indeed I clipped it BUT although I see what you might be saying, at this point in time (with the 4 bars included), I will hold with my earlier statement that it is incomplete. I always use volume, always, and as for knowing them there change signals, as best I can tell, I know what they are and...

    Iterative Refinement

Mess du jour. It does seem that the successive r2r's from about 1:40 till 2:40 show how nicely things can flop out when the RTL's are lined up correctly. The color scheme is Spyder's with the dodger blue RTL's = 'expired' fftraverses. Do not yet see completion of the first downtraverse of the...

    Iterative Refinement

IMO, one cannot know how the sequence completion is going to take place with the carryover or at any other time. So it becomes a question of waiting to see it unfold. If there are people who can reproducibly (= every time) know how the sequence completion is going to take place then that's...

    Iterative Refinement

Ah yes, then it must be that in spite of what they might appear to be doing or think that they are doing, they are bound by the certain reality of P/V space and what appear to be constructions are merely coincidental consequences. lj

    Iterative Refinement

Very nice romanus. I wonder if the crooks that run this shell game have a playbook with a finite number of entries. lj

    Iterative Refinement

That was very lucid. I wonder if the additional fact that we had just seen an r2r 'that went nowhere' (1415 bar) which broke what turned out to be a fftraverse RTL, might also have been of consequence? lj

    Iterative Refinement

Just my opinion workwithus, but I can't think of a more difficult combo than IB data feed + Sierra charts. IB is OK for a backup but because of how they package their data and deal with so-called 'late trades' you can get some messed up bars. This has been discussed in the "Software ..."...

    Iterative Refinement

As sometimes happens my tongue became swollen (from overuse) and what I was trying to say came out sounding not as I intended. It is not worth trying to explain. I didn't see completion either. lj

    Iterative Refinement

I think what you said is exactly correct about the repeated FBO's and correct again about the frequency of washes/reversals. For sure today was another trending day and the idea that you just hold through all this stuff is also exactly correct IF you are very sure about where you are...

Hey romanus what do you think about the idea that a traverse is a standard traverse, until it isn't? lj
