When I started out I had the same experience with IB. Don't waste your time calling them. They wouldn't even say what the minimum requirements were, it's "Top Secret" information that only their compliance department knows. They just kept saying "reapply". :P
I went with OX...
Nice site surfer.
By chance did you see the review of Larry William's new book "The Right Stock at the Right Time" in the April Active Trader (p19)? He states that Gann "...was essentially a teacher/guru and not a working trader. The big trade that apparently helped launch his legend...
That's interesting, I recall them telling me (in a nutshell) they couldn't (or wouldn't) beat OX active trader rate ($12.95). What are you paying surfer?
With respect to spreads, they would be the better broker since their margin requirements are much better than OX's ultra-conservative 100K...
My understanding of the situation:
After the fact, you can contact the CBOE for Time and Sales. I had a similar situation and they said that they will send a fax if you request it.

(Everyone I've met from the CBOE has been very helpful. )...
Why do you feel this way? Amibroker charts in real-time work great. $199 for RT software is not bad. That's roughly equivalent to one month of eSignal.
You might also want to look at:
Ensign, Quotetracker, Realtick and TCNET.
Choice of charting software is a personal decision since...
Not to disagree, but is this on a new build Jerry? Mine (3.4.1) only appears to go to 5 days on the slider box using Custom Period.
For the earlier poster:
QT can pull historical charts from Prophet as well. I personally wish Jerry would build this capability into his chart app...
Out of curiousity, what is it that you do not find functional about TCNET?
I saw a demo of it today and it seemed to be able to do any time frame.
The only thing that seemed primitive on the charts were the drawing tools.
FWIW I've got eSignal now and am considering getting TCNET just...
Thanks for being open and sharing your experience wsws.
Those are some long tails! :D
I was looking for some current info on these guys as a possible feed for Ami or QT.
I hope iqfeed will post an update in this thread. I say this as someone seriously considering their service.
I don't find anything unique or of value in their "philosophy" that you posted. Replace the first paragraph with NBBO. The rest is just marketing BS, "premium spread execution", LOL.
Commissions are way too high IMO.
Go with TOS, OX, or IB.
AFAIK the problem is that eSignal software sees you coming now from a different IP (DSL) than what you logged in as (cable). eSignal does not allow a single user to appear to be coming from two different IPs. You will probably need to logout and log back in from the new IP.
This is one of...
Nice setup. Two questions: What is that square keyboard that's in the middle of the desk and what software does it work with? Does your room get warm with all those monitors? :)
The high speeds (300-500) you are quoting are probably the limited deployement of the new EDGE technology:

FYI: a great site that has a "normal" and a "mobile" version is cliesource.
Check out the difference between.

The problem I have with ET on my PDA is that it is much too wide.
FWIW a WAP version of ET would also...
IMHO the coolest desk is made by Biomorph. It is a little pricey to get with all the bells and whistles. The electric height adjustment is a great feature! The Maxo model would probably fit at least 6 good size flat screens.

OX has functional (but not elaborate) option scans. If you register with them you can try them out before you deposit any money. They will also allow you to paper trade before dropping any money.
FWIW I am getting the following message from OX when logging in tonight:
"Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to continue?"
Never have seen this error before.
