does anyone know of a site or service that specializes in what sectors are expected to be strong/weak for the day? a service that summarizes all premarket trading, news and outlook on sectors for the day, maybe even some daily technicals on index's other than the dow, s&p & nasdaq etc. thx

i heard the deal collapsed because one of the main players died. this delayed the sale causing it fall through during a downturn in the business and economy. did you hear anything about this?

i only trade nyse. very rarely do i trade nasdaq anymore but when i do i use level 2.

i use the tape to identify blocks over 5k-10k shares either stepping up or down. i also use it to see blocks being traded. i use the tape daily on nyse stocks for many different reasons.

i trade alot of light volume nyse stocks and have had 10 minutes go by while the specialist is working on a print. this is both buy and sell market orders.

no problem. when a specialist spreads the stock up, if i think the print is coming i try to offer the stock 5-25 cents lower than the offer shown. it is different with all stocks but usually if your order(not nx) is placed IN TIME, enough below the quoted offer you will be filled with the block...

when you place a nx order it looks to be electronically matched, if not the order is placed on the book. there was a delay in getting the order to the book by using nx as your order type.

if your firm doesnt give you 256M Ram they are cutting corners plain and simple.

i use the open book on reuters on thin stocks and sometimes thick stocks. i love it. it does give you an indicator premarket.

what do you think the best avenue is to get involved in this? you seem to know of people doing this? please let me know.
