from my experience i think its easier to see when we have reversed direction and possily started a new trend/direction. the signs are fairly obvious as opposed to trying to pick a top or bottom. once the new direction is confirmed then its possible to make better trades in this new direction...

I dont agree... i think the op misses the point. trading is a livelihood. why would you give away your business? you could argue all day wether or not giving away a strategy would ruin its effectivness....i would rather be safe than sorry...especially if my profession fed and clothed my familly...

my strategy for low volatility market (ES) uses a 2.5 pt standard stop loss. has worked very well. my strategy for volatile market (also ES) uses 3.0 stop. volatile strategy is new but seems to be working well with 3.0 stop so far.

i agree but do you think if conditions change and strategies stop working the more knowledgable trader might have an adaptive advantage? i would think the clueless trader that might have arrived at a working strategy through luck or as a hand-me-down would not be able to adapt....or a good...

wouldn't have seen that, dont watch them.... i only keep 60sma and vwap on screen as a pivot. curious why you like to use those averages? i like 60sma because i was under the impression (could be totally wrong) fund managers use 60sma as a gauge of market average/center (pivot)

verizon according to my plan (unlimited) will only shut you down if you exceed 5gigs of data download a month. iv'e been using my connection as my primary since may 7th (havn't turned on my landline since) and iv'e only downloaded 1.3gigs so far. iv'e been using verizons 6550 card for the last month and it has been working very well. it is not nearly as fast as my landline but i cant notice any difference in my data feed when i run them side by side. price matches tick for tick.

i thought i was the only one that noticed. i have to laugh when regular name brand grocery store items cost damn near as much as the local ( way overpriced) health food store. i'll tell you who is doing well though in my neighborhood....the .99cent store has never been so busy.

it seems to me that we are all in search of the best performing indicator/combinations of indicators in search of that statistical edge...i wonder if anyone ever did a search/study for the poorest performing indicators that consistantly provided statistically significant negative returns? maybe...
