Someone help me with trade-ideas please

I think the problem with your strategy is the signal is only triggered when the last 15-minute bar marks a new day's low and a new day's high at the same time, which is probably not what you want to do. Graphically, it the signal is triggered only when bars look something like this...

Someone help me with trade-ideas please

Links work just fine... Just long URLs are "shortened" visually. Clicking the "shortened" link still works as expected. How do you check if your filter works? Do you look at "history" on the Web-site?

    Shorting inflation-linked bonds with IB

Thanks very much! I'll investigate and see what I can do via the platform. Aren't there any funds that track inflation outright?

    Shorting inflation-linked bonds with IB

I had an impression with "benchmark" government bonds borrowing was pretty straightforward... How do I find TIP ETFs?

    Shorting inflation-linked bonds with IB

I would like to short some US or UK inflation-linkled bonds with Interactive Brokers. Can I do it, and, if I can, what do I need to do in TWS? Thanks!

Any tips for trading from hotels while traveling?

This is the best option if home connection is reliable and the order entry software does something on top of sending orders to the broker. For example, it may convert stop-limit orders into stop orders if the price went against the trader too far beyond the limit price etc. The downside is...

    what is your favorite browser?

My favourite is Firefox. It's mainly due to: 1) Saving Web-pages I ws looking at when it restarts; 2) NoScript addon - there are too many Web-pages that run badly designed scripts that start to slow down a computer when I open 40-50 Web-pages.

IB TWS Win7 no installation possible

I actually gained massive benefit from TWS upgrade that added API for finding out when connection between TWS and IB is restored. Very good job on IB part. I am aware there have been a few botched "upgrades" that added more issues than they resolved... but that's something to watch out for with...

    Stock and trading site disclaimers

This is an interesting point. Assuming stock picking web-sites attrack large following (whether the web-sites are free or paid for), whenever they generate a stock pick which is otherwise unfounded in the market, there will be a reversal after most of the web-site followerrs have bought in.

    Stock and trading site disclaimers

The bottom line is every trader or investor should use their own judgement. This is the only way. For the sake of example, imagine a aspiring trading guru starts 2048 (2x2x2... 12 times) investment web-sites. Web-sites are cheap. So, it's much smaller an investment than other small...

    Stock and trading site disclaimers

Specifically, regarding past and future returns, the disclaimer is a result of regulatory requirement. If a stock index gained in every of the 8 years over the last 8, would you think going log the index is risk-free? So, you shouldn't think it's risk-free regarding advice which is or isn't...
