How much did you lose this week?

I lost opportunity but no cash. I'd been taking cash positions for the past several weeks since I really don't have the skill, time or patience to trade this market.

    internet activity monitoring and surveillance

I used to be one of those IT guys who had the capability to monitor employee activities at a fortune 500 company. Most IT departments are stretched to the limit. It's likely they don't have the resources to monitor your activities on a random basis. The only time we ever monitored is when...

    InvesTools anyone?

The fact that he's selling "back up" a gentler term for pirated copies of these applications should have given you insite as to the type of person you were dealing with. Since you paid with paypal, if you used a credit card (not debit), you may be able to cancel the transaction, but keep in...

Any Downsides to Getting Licensed - Series 7 and 63?

E&O = Errors and Omissions insurance. ie. malpractice. You can publish a blog only if your sponsoring BD allows it and it is inline with the compliance department. Once again, why does the poster want a license? If to trade his own account, there's no need. Sell stocks? Forget about...

Trading Options and Futures by John Ross - Any review?

Have you tried your local library? Cooper wrote two books on Hit and Run trading. My local library didn't have it, but the interlibrary loan did. My library brought the books in from the Las Vegas Public Library (of all places). I got to keep them for a month. I saved $200. Good luck!

Tharp: Peak Performance Course for Traders and Investors

After reading Curtis Faith's The Way of the Turtle (good book btw), I looked into VKT's Trading Your Way to Financial Independence. I had the original version so purchased the revised version. Both Faith and Tharp state psychology and biases have a huge effect on trading systems. This...

    TC2005 vs Amibroker

This isn't intended to start a flame war. My TC2005(7) EDD software is up for renewal. This year it's going to be about $300. I've looked at the feedback in Amibroker, and found www.eoddata.com sells the data for about half of TC2005. Has anyone used both products and what's your feedback?

    I meet Trump :)

I went to one of those learning Annex presentations in April 2006. Trump was speaking. Here are his tidbits of wisdom: Not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. Some have talent, some don't. 1. Gotta love what you do or failure. 2. Never quit 3. Stay Focused 4. Be paranoid...

    No risk condor?

Check this trade out. STTX Short April Iron Condor. According to TOS software, this looks like a no loss credit spread. Note, max profit is $250 and max loss is $0. Is this an anomaly?

Can anybody recommend a decent health insurer

Ok from a health insurance pro. Call a local broker. Avoid Mega-Life and Midwest National. They're limited benefit plans. Consider this, if you have a $250,000 claim, you may get coverage for $50k leaving you holding the bag for $200k. Golden rule is a good company, strong having been...

    Advice

From someone who had that decision to make 20 years ago, and continued to stay in the family business (that I started), go back to school. End of topic, end of discussion. Following that, healthcare or anything having to do with seniors. Nursing school, etc. Be sure you get in a field that...
