My experience is that one must match all buys and sells and put it on the schedule D. I have always done this. There is software out there that makes it fast and easy to match, although it may require a lot of paper in your case...

Do you see something besides the news this morning that had limited effect on price. Technical pattern?

Good thread. My personal experience is that the more that I watch the more trades that I miss. My focus is spread over many different factors and I cant make decisions fast enough to be effective in my trading. My solution, I only look at 14 sectors etfs and a few good daytrading stocks.

I agree, I am short mon and pot with a tight stop at highs, risky trade but the r/r is very good imo...

I just used Tradelog. Very easy to use very fast, but also expensive.

Thanks for your responses... I feel that the absolute worst is priced into these stocks and they are going higher. As fresh housing numbers come out and are not looking any better, these stocks shake off the news and hold or go higher. Most likely will be a bumpy ride but worthwhile IMO...

I had my problem when i was running the standalone version of TWS. I am using the browser version now and everything is fine with the exception of the charts loading painfully slow..... got any fixes for that?

I use the web based TWS and the latest build is 872.6. I had the same issue with TWS updates. It said I was running the latest build when I actually was not. IB tech support said they are aware of the issue.
