If you "always" lose money when breaking your rules, why do you break your rules? And also, lets say the exchange starts showing the volume behind the trades.. how would you (retail trader) profit off this information? It would be nearly impossible.

I'll strongly disagree. From my experience trading flys is the "fees" are negligible compared to the reward potential. How are you trading butterflys to be the most boring? Certainly they haven't been boring for me, calendar spreads are much more "boring" than fly's.

I agree with Mr. Dinopoli.. Nonetheless I am still interested in divergence and have seen it in use and used successfully (with other metrics)

I agree assuming one is using these lines to actually enter/exit trades. But we all know price reacts to the 200/50/22 day moving averages regardless of past movement.
