    Trading Methods

There was a time when I used stochastics but I found that I would lose too much money trading divergences (felt like I was picking tops). If poss, can you elaborate on this comment more. I rely on stochastics heavily in my method. Can you explain where the stochatics failed you. Was it at...

    S&P 500 looking very toppy

Not a double top, but rather a double bottom, with a strong divergence in the MACD and the Stochastic. Could be a strong move up. Have a look. Weekly bouncing off double bottom also.

    Trading Methods

I don't have any stats, just an observation. It seems that many mornings on the ES things take off at 9:30, only to flush out the short-sighted and then they reverse and go hard the other way. Anyone notice this or is just me?

    Trading Methods

You comment was interesting. I have never approached trading based on taking a position whichever way things go. I always make a decision based on very short term and if things don't go the way I thought, I just stay out. Your style makes sense.

Joe, Do you look for this daily breakout as a trading method each day? Or only when a pattern emerges from the mid-day consolidation?

    Mathematician Plays the Stock Market

Anybody read this book by John Allen Paulos? My wife gave me an ad from The New Yorker and I can't tell if it is just a comedy or has any value.

    Tradestation Easy Language Question

Are there any TS users here who can help me write a simple program to indicate when a Double Top or Double Bottom Occurs? Tried the TradeStationWorld forum with no luck.

    New Trading Computer

Yeah, I know. Just ribbing you a little. I am a computer nut too. Everytime, I have looked into doing this, it was just as economical as buying one already pre-fabbed. Always wanted to build that SUPER COMPUTER. I just bought a real high power Dell. I use it mostly just for trading. I also...

Mohan of Daytraders Action / 21st Century Futures

NK, I was really just wondering what the heck you get in the free trial. Do you get his S&R calculations? Does he tell you when to enter and when to exit? Aside from making my own judgement, what the heck do you get for giving him your credit card number?

Mohan of Daytraders Action / 21st Century Futures

Why doesn't someone, NK, sign up for his trial and post it here at ET so we can evaluate it. What the strategy for entry. Does he tell you "how" to get in based on his analysis.

    divergence in 1min charts

Many people will downplay the noise in the 1M chart. I have come to the conclusion that, properly filtered, the 1M chart is the lauching pad for many nice moves in the ES. If you trade the signals with the trend....especially reliable. On Friday, it happened. There was a modest pullback and...

    divergence in 1min charts

Wanted to point out a trade using 1M divergence that I find highly reliable. Many times this set up indicates a reversal in direction, manage it properly and you can trade this with confidence. The opposite signal for a long entry is also the same concept. The key is three successive...
