    I'm Home MaMa

SuperEgo, Well, I'm glad that you are confident about your methods in trading and happy with things. However, as rs7 pointed out, isn't it a bit much to put down other's people techniques to elevate yours? IMHO, trading is NOT about the "holy grail" technique(s) b/c NO SUCH thing exist...

Daytrading has made me a millionaire

Daliddleguy: It's refreshing to hear some honesty around here. True self-examinations is the only path to lasting change and greatness. Anyhow, I like to point out the fact that you said you loss about $300K in 1999 - during the BEST RAGING BULL market year we EVER HAD IN HISTORY...

    Our corrupt moronic "leader"

I think Clinton was a genuinely "smart" guy. Here, I meant to say smart as in academic, but not necessarily in ANY other dimensions. Probably not so smart with his many affairs. hehe. Jimmy Carter has a Phd in nuclear engineering but an unpopular prez. Wilson was a professor at Princeton...

When someone asks "what you do for a living" what do you answer!

Do I hear an ECHO somewhere? Didn't I just said that earlier? hehe. j/k. well, it's all cool.

When someone asks "what you do for a living" what do you answer!

Yeah, I know where you are coming from. I think 'strictly" equities markets are not zero sum though some people think so. Equities can actually be a POSITIVE sum game. Everyone can "win" in the long run as stock markets continues to go up(have a long-term positive bias). But, derivatives, by...

When someone asks "what you do for a living" what do you answer!

Yep. It's a HUGE hypocripsy and illusion for Wall St to condescence on the public for daytrading when they themselves(part of the Establishment) are by FAR the BIGGEST DAYTRADERS around. Having been in the i.b./a.m. environment, I keep telling people that specialists/MMs are basically the...

Prop Firm Kills future Career Options?

What you say might sound right and logical, but I think there's more to it right. I mean if whoever posted that(a new college grad ??) obviously didn't have any experience in the market/trading and he/she tries prop trading and fail like most people, are you saying they should be penalize...

When someone asks "what you do for a living" what do you answer!

Yep. That's a good illustration. But, academics called it a "zero sum game" in theory. That's in a "frictionless" world(i.e. no slippage, commission, market impact, etc.) But in the real world, it ends up being a "negative sum game", b/c of the factors I listed.

Prop Firm Kills future Career Options?

chase, OK. That's a good attitude to have! Way to go. But I think for most professional people(including myself) as well as new college grads or newbies(especially them), the question is not so much as $ but more of "opportunity cost". I mean I've done both worlds so it's OK in some...

Prop Firm Kills future Career Options?

Thanks for vote of confidence. I sure hope I'll make it. Cuz I just know I will.. It's burning inside of me... :) At what level of trading would you think be "satisfied" with? $80K/y ? $100K/yr? $200K/yr? $500K/yr? $1m/yr? $1M++? How do you measure your level of satisfaction with your...

Prop Firm Kills future Career Options?

Hmm... I think what you are saying is probably partly true. I'm not sure what's life AFTER prop trading as another thread pointed out. is there one? haha. Let me say this as a reflection. I went the a.m/ib/institutional route after college and I learned a great deal about how...

When someone asks "what you do for a living" what do you answer!

yeah, I think that has a lot to do with it. But I remember before Barton went on a kill spree , "daytrader" wasn't such a bad term. But after that event, its currency went down signficantly. And people associated that with gambling addiction, people losing their life savings as well as their...

Don, There are postings every day on job boards. Just do a search. But since you have been "bugging" about it(nothing wrong with that since you want to know some facts and don't know where to look for them), I did a little search for you on Bloomberg(you can do it via the terminal or the...
