    Question for Grob/Hershey...

More recently when observing the two side-by-side I've noticed the moves are not always proportional... example, my previous post shows the YM BO many bars before the ES breakout. Could this be "why" a pennant formation developed? YM broke out while ES stalled at the RTL so YM then stalled...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

mgin your posts are quality and always appreciated. The points you raised prompted me to spend a lot of time reviewing a few specific areas of the charts and I discovered a lot from doing so. I'm glad you mentioned this as it is generally a congestion area that alerts me to watch for a new...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

My misfortune is the result of not recognizing that I was trading when the market was operating outside my level of skill to extract from it. Example, my biggest loss of the day came from holding short into a pennant (bars 37 to 41). I was prepared to reverse if the BO was to the long side...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Another postitive AM followed by a nightmare PM. Was +5 by bar 35 and back to zero by 64 -- should have started the weekend early. Reversed my position five times today with mixed success -- this will take getting used to (not the source of my PM problems). Just completed a quick debrief but...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Finsihed in the positive but overall it was a disappointing day considering how much was on the table. My first trade was a big step forward for me -- I shorted bar 4 and held until bar 8 for +2.5. In the PM I was up +4 but gave up 2.25 on my last two trades which were rockets that came back...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I watched this afternoon from the sidelines too -- I missed the start of the trend and from that point forward I was concerned about entering at the top. Each time it ran up higher I scolded myself for not entering, but thought the rise must end soon. +1.0

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Nice! Thanks for posting the log. Just as with the chart annotations I'm sure it will help me to see how other beginners are approaching this. Are you logging manually through the day?

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I was very cautious this morning and did not take my first trade until the PM. Cut my total number of trades down to six, of which four were washes. I began using the TD today and found it relaxing to setup a bracket entry then sit back with pen and clipboard to update the TD and watch my...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I notice you have bars that are not inside of a channel -- try starting your channels inside of the previous channel. I marked up your bar25 chart to show what I mean. I also marked approx where the ST is. I'm not certain about your pink lines as I do not have anything annotated there...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I compared our charts and they are fairly similar in the last half of the session. Our primary difference is I have a channel from bar 8 through your highlighted circle, touching high points at 11am and providing resistance around 1pm and 1:45pm.
