My position is down to 100k USD and it's taking 4000k in margin I am down $100 on this position. This seems to be 4% not 2%, what am I missing?

Can anyone explain how IB`s margin works, I have a 100k gbp position and its tying up about $8000 of margin, this does not seem to be 2%.

Right now the euro spread is bouncing between 3.5 and 4 points plus brokerage. Jpy is at 2. The other 2 systems I am looking are at 2 and 3 no brokerage for Euro. You Guys have to get some control on these spreads. As I end this message they are down to 3 but that is still...

ya it would be if the sread is not less. Unfortunately alot of the time the spread is larger than oanda plus u pay a broker charge. If this keeps up I will go to oanda.

I find it interesting that your sole objective since joining Elite Trader is to attack IB. That is very interesting.......

The only important fact is you have too much time on your hands to be so obsessed with the IB agreement. Maybe you could use the time to study a graph or two on the euro.
