I did 65 round trips today. Most were bearish index ETFs. I trade both bullish and bearish every day.

5000 shares at a time is why the cost was high. Yesterday's total cost was just under and sometimes just over $10 per trade, so today's cost at just under $2 is a pleasant improvement.

I'm guessing zero commission does not apply to exchange and clearing fees. Today (first day of zero commission) and Ameritrade charged me just under $2 per trade, which it was just under $10 yesterday (counting commission and fees) so that's an improvement.

Today being the first day of zero comiss at Ameritrade, they still charged me just under $2 per trade for clearing and exchange fees. So maybe eliminating those would be / could be the next step.

Today (Oct. 3) at Ameritrade, I'm having exchange and clearing fees of $1.93 per trade on 5000 shares. No comission, but there will be these fees.

If Schwab absorbs clearing and exchange fees, it will be huge.

My Ameritrade rate is 6.95 but my the time they tack on exchange fees, my cost per trade today was $10.43 I'm guessing Schwab will still tack on exchange fees?

Handle - If i recall correctly, you have said that you most often scalp for 2 or 3 cents. Let me ask ... on those trades, what is your risk / reward ratio? Or said another way, if you have a 3 cent target, where is your stop? Thank you sir!
