Trading for a living with FX - possible?

Fascinating stuff, atticus. Can you possibly elaborate on: (1) The equity-and-EUR/JPY correlation. Is this approach essentially mean-reversion based? (2) The nature and content of the price-weighted basket. Thanks in advance!

    Multiple Monitor card choice help

Scataphagos Would you mind taking a look to see what temperatures the three NVS 295 GPUs run at after the PC has been running for some time? Can you also mention the ambient temperature by way of reference? I assume you use an X58 motherboard driving two x16 and one x1 NVS 295 cards...

Ping times to foreign data server

Again, thanks for your feedback, guys. Nothing remotely like HFT here. :) Just another run-of-the-mill discretionary trader. Reading between the lines (of your comments), it seems that any latency not exceeding 500ms may be acceptable in practical terms. Fair comment?

Ping times to foreign data server

Thanks for your reply. My query concerns what level of latency would be acceptable in a real-world environment from a trader's perspective. Just want to get some practical feedback from fellow ETers.
