    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Lines up perfect so far. 3 steps forward, 1 step back; 2 steps forward, 1 step back; 3 steps forward, 2 steps back? Science, or self-fulfilling prophecy?

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Everyone says "Buy the Dips" like it's easy, but it's not. When a stock is going down, it's because some kind of bad news or rumor is scaring traders into selling, and it feels like the stock will keep falling and never recover. You have to have "faith" the Long Term Trend will continue, and...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I'll be "fading in" all the way down to 600, if it falls that far. That would be a perfectly normal 15% pullback, and the volume is nowhere near panic levels. 2 steps forward from 600 (+30%) = 780 over the next few months. This is probably just a "shake out" before the earnings announcement...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Good trading. Congrats on your profits! I've been sticking to my long term plan: Sold some more April 700/695 Bull Put Spreads, at AAPL 642.37 & 639.76 for good Credits. This translates into giving AAPL seven months to go back up 60 points, for a profit of 180%. We'll see what...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

What we're talking about is the next Higher Low in the uptrend. It has to be above the last Higher Low of 519.95 to work with this chart. If we average the last 2 pullbacks (-14.85% and -18.92%) we get -16.89%. Assuming that happens now (it may not, this could just be a small dip like in...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I like that kind of talk. :D New iPad Mini coming soon, and maybe next year we'll finally get iTV. Some say Steve Jobs planned out the next 10 years for them before he passed away....

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Hmmm.... You have a point there. Anyone else want to buy an iThingy or 2 to help us out a bit here? Have to make 700 by January 18th!

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Having said all that.... I still think AAPL will be above 700 in January, and I LOVE their products! Have only used Macs since my first Mac SE back in 1988, and my wife is playing with her iPad and iPhone right now! :p

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Interesting ideas. Cool. I love this stuff! All the Jack Schwager "Market Wizzard" books prove how lots of different approaches to trading can all be successful. That's the beauty of it, and "what makes a Market"! But he and all the other traders say the most important thing, after you come...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

This is a good example of different chart interpretations due to different time frames. My weekly chart and multi-month trading approach has no problem with a 6 week pullback at this point. AAPL could fall to 600 even, and I'd interpret the long term uptrend as still being in place...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Cool. I've been selling Jan, Feb & Apr AAPL 700/695 Bull Put Spreads, for great credits on the down days. Figuring 700 will be APPL's new support level soon enough. We'll see...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

APPL is in a serious long term "friendly" Uptrend, and the stock's fundamentals are great. Looking at this 3 year weekly AAPL chart, it's very clear every single pullback was a buying opportunity. But these retracements don't feel good when they happen, and can last for a while. The 424.88...

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

Here's another Zealous article, written by THE Metals/Mining GURU himself: ADAM HAMILTON! http://www.zealllc.com/2012/newsilup.htm

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

Good tradin'! I added to my GDXJ position today with a February 19 Call. Will check out that YouTube video, thanks. http://seekingalpha.com/article/880741-gold-and-silver-miners-continue-rampage-targeting-all-time-highs?source=marketwatch

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

If Europe continues with their QE, and the Euro falls against the dollar, will gold start going down? Or will gold start going up against the Euro? I have vague memories of it going down there and up here at the same time once before. Or was it the other way around?

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

Of course the Fed's QE3 decision is great news for the Gold/Silver uptrends. New Highs seem very realistic to me now. Will continue adding to my positions, especially if we get a dip/pullback before too long...

    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

Thanks for your concern. I don't think you're "Looney Tooney" BTW. Anyway, after all this talk about these January 150/149 GLD Spreads, I went back to the Option Chain to see how much Credit was still left in them. I found I could Buy to Close all 5 of them for $70, including commissions...

    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

I don't expect to make 80% on my account this year, but I certainly expect GLD to be above 150 in January! I reckon that's a slam-dunk, with Gold's traditional Autumn Rally underway, plus QE3, etc. I know less risk = less gain, with a higher probability of success, of course. That's why...

    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

Of course I don't assume I'm going to win on every trade, but because of the lower Risk/Reward Ratio, one bad trade won't wipe out all my previous profits either. If one just did Bull Put Spreads and only went for 24% a year, or 2% a month, that would be risking $98 to make $2 on each trade...
