    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

AAPL up after hours... Is this the device you were talking about? Will it add on the necessary 175 points? http://www.marketwatch.com/Story/story/print?guid=5E710024-301B-11E2-97FC-002128040CF6

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

AAPL's attempt to break its 44 month Uptrend (by taking out its last Higher Low) was a "spectacular" failure. The volume was huge, and the "wick" on today's candle (a "Hammer" Reversal Candle to be exact) is very very long. I read this market action as the "Capitulation Bottom" for AAPL's...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Yes, there are so many variables! An uninterrupted 8 week retracement like AAPL just had is new. It hasn't made a move like that for the entire 44 month Uptrend. So what will it do next week in reaction to it? Stay tuned...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I see what your saying now about 460. Hope that doesn't happen! Will the big round number 500 hold as support instead? We'll find out soon enough I suppose. :)

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Not sure what time frame you trade, but AAPL had a 24 pt. bounce today in a little more than an hour after it hit 505.75. Would you trade that? Not me. Don't want to have a heart attack or anything.... :p

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I'm not totally clear on what your saying. Could you attach a chart? :)

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Good points. I think those funds you mentioned are buying AAPL right now! Uhhhhhh......... The Long Term Uptrend for AAPL is still in place. Never say die! :D

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

This all makes sense, plus it's harder for so large a company to grow rapidly. And when a company starts paying a dividend it usually means they're stabilizing, and growth will slow down. But none of that means the stock is necessarily going to collapse. It will just go up at a slower...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

This could be the capitulation sell-off down to the 500 level. Stocks move in waves, not straight up or down. There will be a short covering, snap-back rally eventually. Plus bottom fishers/value investors, who've been waiting for cheaper prices, will jump on board.

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

IMO, if AAPL closes below the blue line on the attached chart, the 44 month AAPL Uptrend is broken. Looking pretty likely at the moment...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Totally agree. The wealth distribution has always been for a small minority of people to be rich, while most are poor. In olden times a royal family in Europe had almost all the wealth, while all others were peasants. I've heard the only time in human history when the majority of people in a...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Not sure what your definitions of "Trader" and "Bagholder" are, but as to fundamentals I did mention AAPL's low PE ratio, popular products, etc., and the current 0% interest rates several times. My longer term technical approach has been consistent. It's based on making 6 month bets, not...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I'm no economist, but I'm not sure it is fixable. It requires job creation and growth in the US and Europe. Will that ever happen when everything is made in 3rd World countries? Since March 2009 it's been this "melt-up", 0% rates, QE thing keeping it going. The Dollar hasn't been falling...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

Buying the dips in AAPL, and averaging down has worked for 44 months. But if you do it on the last pullback, when the Trend comes to an end, you will take a loss, yes. That's the risk involved.

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

This doesn't look like the end of the world to me either. Compare this latest retracement from 147.32 to the ones last year from 132.17, and in 2010 from 116.05. Much, much less volume this time as well. Just looks like a controlled 8.24% pullback to a Higher Low so far to me. Some good news...

    AAPL: Buying the Dips!

I understand, but the Long Term Trend for AAPL isn't broken yet. If AAPL goes down through 517.58 and hits 500 and then closes down there, it will be broken. Even if that happens, there will be short covering rallies to lower highs, etc. Nothing goes straight down. I wouldn't sell short...

Sentiment has never been worse. Must be near the bottom. Snap-back, short covering rally coming soon?

    AAPL Trades (09/18/12-04/19/13)

Bought an April 595 Call this morning, when AAPL hit 527.93. I'm now "all in", as they say in Texas Hold'em. From this point forward I'll only be Buying to Close my 50 AAPL Bull Put Spreads, and Selling To Close my 3 AAPL Single Calls. Will be posting the results of each trade in this...
