the only time i see wacky prices from oanda is when they jack up spreads during news releases. otherwise, i haven't noticed any funny prices where one would be stopped out by oanda.

a small liquidity rally could happen in stocks, then gold comes back in style after the fall. thats when a recession should take hold sending the US $ down the crapper once investors lose confidence in the fed and inflation expectations go through the roof.

well he is in the top 5 on forbes list. very very few investors will be able to top that. many better investment managers won't come close to hit performance on a $ basis. so he is right

if you're looking 1+ years down the road, this could be a good time to start loading up on gold. fake rally in the USD and US markets. once fear jumps back into the fray gold will go back up even higher.

does mbi insure more government bonds? thats what has always been the bread and butter for bond insurers.

i highly doubt we'll see 40 again unless there's a major dropoff in demand from alternative fuels. it just costs too much to rip oil out of the ground
