If you want to include fundamental data, Portfolio123 is a great option. It uses the compustat database, and includes delisted stocks.

Check out seasonalgo. It's a web-based tool that lets you look at seasonal patterns for just about every commodity and spread combination. The Goldman Roll should show up as a seasonal bias for calendar spreads. (I am a subscriber but have no affiliation with the company)

It sounds like you sell out of the money (OTM) puts on either the GLD ETF or gold futures, with a sufficient amount of cash to buy the position if the puts are assigned to you (because the price falls). So, technically, you are being paid for the right to buy GLD below the current price...

That may be overkill, unless you are slinging around 100s of contracts and trading OTC and cash/physical as well. If you want integrated fundamental data, DTN ProphetX is pretty strong in this regard. Not sure how much it costs though. They do offer a free trial, and have specific energy...

Two popular ones that I have heard of (but not used) are Trade Ideas and Madscan. Search for these terms on here and you might find some threads that talk about them.

I don't think anyone will give out their EXACT screening technique, but generally it involves looking for stocks that have moved a lot on high volume, and also scanning the news during the the day.
