    Fundamental value of Bitcoin

Nope, when bitcoin hits $5,000, there's no need to exchange for fiat as we can get anything we want with it. House? Yup. Luxury items? Yup. Food? Yup. Cars? Yup. Consumer goods? Yup. Plane tickets? Yup. Hotels? Yup. You must not have any bitcoin coz you didn't know this...

    Fundamental value of Bitcoin

Simple supply and demand is the biggest reason, imo. There are 16M bitcoins in circulation. There's already 1M owned by Satoshi which many suspect that the private keys have been destroyed by Satoshi himself (true to his ideals) plus all the lost wallets, destroyed hard drives, Counterparty...

    Fundamental value of Bitcoin

Yes, but you'll need acceptance. Something that is lost on many people saying there are over 800 cryptos out there. There's only one bitcoin. (Oops, slowly takes out foot from the mouth as there's bitcoin cash, but that's another story...) Here's an inside joke but let's see if anyone gets it...

    Fundamental value of Bitcoin

Fun to read. How about a possibility that bitcoin holders see fiat as the hot potato as it's being printed by the trillions? Satoshi owns about a million bitcoins and they have not moved since they were mined ($4.6 Billion worth).

To be honest, I cannot buy bitcoin at the current price. It's easy for me to forget that I have significant gains and can make crazy bets on positions that I would not dare make if it was coming out of my savings. Good luck to everyone who take part on this bull market that is crypto but also...

You're doing selective reading and interpreting it the way you want to. I said it's not very good as money, but I believe it's a very good store of value. Do I think it's good for purchasing pizza? No. Do I think it's good for purchase of a car or a house? Yes. Store of value. By the way, I'm...

For the very reason that Satoshi Nakamoto invented bitcoin as it's not a manipulated by any central authority (it's decentralized). It solves the Byzantines Generals' Problem and the trust is in mathematics not in any central authority. I can post the whitepaper if you're interested. I have...

I've spent a couple of thousand $ worth of bitcoin on dozens of transactions. I'm about to buy a few tech items worth ~$600 in the next day or two. I'm sorry I cut you off as we have a difference in opinion. I think bitcoin as a store of value is a much better use case. I do not want to imagine...

Fair question. That's very easy, for me the #1 reason is the same as the reason for owning nflx, amzn, gold, or silver, which is for "investment", the high-risk, high-reward kind. I'm also going to tell you that I believe in the ideology. Bitcoin was created by Satoshi because he did not trust...

I'm very sorry to hear that. Fortunes are still being made, though, and baggerlord and Visaria have the right idea to start researching some promising cryptos, who knows? Ethereum, Neo, Ripple and others have 10's of thousands of percent returns. I never invested in those so can't speak for...

Bro, you're not a naysayer if you're invested in other cryptos. Over 90% of my portfolio are in non-bitcoin cryptos and the gains have been ok :D A caveat when investing in altcoins, some are just bad, and just like with stocks, cut off your losses. I try not to have more than 3 cryptos. If I...

There were 3 "types" people. In order of most likely to least likely to invest in bitcoin: 1. [price of bitcoin was around $200] Person was interested, has some fiat out of the country, wanted to transfer to the US, but unsure of transfer fees and taxes. Talked for more than an hour. Bitcoin...

Zero. I still discuss when someone asks me a question or trying to understand, but I know the person will not buy. I don't consider it a waste of time, it's just the way it is. I'm not alone. imgur.com/a/E9CAY .

Is there a site like myetherwallet.com but for bitcoin?

Also, don't use Windoze if you're gonna deal with cryptos, use Linux or a chromebook. You can even use VMPlayer and install LUbuntu at no cost. It's your crypto.

Is there a site like myetherwallet.com but for bitcoin?

I only recommend online wallet for less than 2 btc's worth, but if you must use one https://counterwallet.io/ is a good one. You should back up the private key for each address you have on it.

Why Bitcoin Is Worthless: The Definitive Guide

Many people who invest in cryptos are very used to the security blanket provided by centralized institutions. Bitcoin and other cryptos are about being your own bank, which means owning, securing, and backing up your private keys which control how those cryptos are transferred (spent). If the...

    The ideal cryptocurrency

Disclaimer: I invested in the NVO crowdsale. Waves uses a "gateway" model so trusted setup and not fully decentralized (from little I know of it). Bitshares is peer-to-peer and when I had coins in it, the problem was liquidity. Counterparty (XCP) has a decentralized exchange but is buggy and...
