shouldn't the question be can you achieve $60 per day trading one contract. I don't see the signifigance of $4K vs 40K except for the number of contracts you trde or the time it takes you to blow out your account.

I agree; Look at the amount of trust between the traders here on ET. If you could find a way it would be a win/win situation for both buyer and seller. Buyers would have access to a system that worked and seller would have an income stream from royalties so to speak.

If the system is any good he won’t be that busy. What he’ll probably be doing is developing a new improved system. Why not sell what he’s got? Most other traders won’t follow it anyway. One or two losing trades and they’ll quit. Especially if the system goes against common wisdom...

The question remains "is there an edge" even a small one? A small edge played with enought money can be profitable. What I'd like to know is what kind of drawdown would one have to endure and for how long? Also how long a period was the back test done over?

Is there no one out there that can backtest this system? Surely someone with Tradestation or similar software that allows backtesting could run the numbers. Although it goes against common wisdom,(40 point stop 10 point profit) over the last few months it seems to have been effective.

Speaking of maxspan when do you update your track record. Curious as to how you made out for the month. Why not show maxspan separate from the called trades? April would be a good time to start.

Your answer lies in how much you are willing to lose on any one trade. How many losses will you take in a row? It’s not how much you make that counts it’s how little you lose. To answer your question I don’t risk more than 1% of my account on any one trade.
