Nono. Just trying to make a liquid market for this contract. I mean is pretty obvious on a record breaking volume day in the cash market, this stupid thing doesnt even trade. I am just offering what i think is the present value of this bet. So right now i am $6 offer. The offer will go up by...

    Reassuring - Tradestation/RJ Obrien

Nono! I understand if the futures firm goes bankrupt, the t-bills is in trouble. I am just asking if you fund your account with t-bills, does that mean the process of your broker placing your money in a money market fund firm like Sentinal does not include you? I am just wondering if they take a...

IBEFP: 1 potential risk that i find

Right! the 0.07% is exactly what i am refering to. Because if the stock goes up by 15%, you have 2 choices: a) Pay interest on the negative 15% at IB's rate (6.8%) b) Buy back the EFP at a 0.07% lost. Either way you lose. The point that i am trying to make is, the interest rate you see...

IBEFP: 1 potential risk that i find

And i think it is not fair to compare it with cash that pays interest on long balance in a normal brokerage account. Cash that sits at a brokerage account doesnt have the risk of the balance going negative, commision etc. So i think is kind of misleading for IB to promote it as an alternative...

IBEFP: 1 potential risk that i find

I am trying to say that the problem with re-adjusting the EFP of a stock that rose 15% in a short time is that the time decay might not be enough to cover the rapid rise in the EFP price. I think you shouldnt sell a EFP of a stock that you think it will rise. EFP is not riskless, but...

IBEFP: 1 potential risk that i find

I love the EFP from IB and i am all in on this product. But i've been thinking about a potential disaster scenerio. Could the spread actually go up as time pass? For example, MYL sept EFP spread right now is 0.0784. If MYL doubles in share price in the next week, the spread could actually double...

    Question to Don

I have another question for you Don. Why would people want to enter the closing auction order when they are commited to trade regardless of the price. Why wouldnt they just enter a regular mkt or limit order at 3:59:40 when they can see the price that they will be filled at? For the opening only...

IB: earn interest on the first $10,000 with a GBP account?

So i am assuming you have to buy USD and sell GBP and then long the GBP again to offset exchange rate fluctuation. I dont think u can do it with IDEAL or IDEALPRO because it doesnt pay interest on your 1st 10K GBP long balance. So i am suggesting, you sell your 10K GBP and buy the USD on...

IB: earn interest on the first $10,000 with a GBP account?

I am saying even assume they pay the first 10K, u will still be 60 bucks better of with EFP.

IB: earn interest on the first $10,000 with a GBP account?

Yes. Sell EFP Is actually a pretty good deal if you dont mind the hassle to readjust every now and then. EFP pays you 5.4% or 5.5% (See MYL) if you are lucky. Assuming IB does pay interest on all balance, you still only get 4.8%. That's 60 bucks difference in a year for 10K.

Is Gross the biggest dump and pumper in the world?

We know Gross has been long bonds for a long time, and he might want to add to his position looking for the 10 years to go to 2%.
