    trading strategy

probably individual but in the typical day to day grind of the markets my gut is wrong most of the time. on major move events (covid crash, GME/meme craze) my gut was exceptionally reliable.

enter on the bar close solidifies the position in time. A candles ability to change shape dramatically even in the last few seconds of trading makes backtesting unreliable. If you base your setups off of information that will be available to you when live...it helps bridge the gap between...

i believe in this too. It also makes backtesting results more consistent if you are forced to wait until bar close (unless dangerous price movement occurs of course) when live.

Very True I agree...concerning selection they favored people with backgrounds in gambling and chess. Edit: the above obviously supports your first statement as gamblers and chess players (should) know risk very well. Interesting man you made a strong point.

first day trading without live bid/ask lines on the chart. Bars only. i've stopped displaying P/L when live also but will display position size/direction, (i've accidentally added size when i meant to cover in a fast market in the past...cant nerd out like that again). How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

The remaining 2 have one entry/exit allowance each. only trade most liquid hours 07:00-13:00 GMT-6 last two weeks i...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Man some of the stuff you said ^^^ sounds exactly like what I've gone through recently. What I've done at this point is create a simple way to force myself into the first major move of the day. I don't always catch it early and often the winning trade is third entry POOP (sometimes down more...

    Best trading indicators?

I know different things work for everyone...so just IMO: Moving averages: almost no predictive value. They do not tell you anything more about future movement than Price + trend/wedge/channel lines. SMA, EMA, HMA, etc. I could never find a way to derive even minor odds (let alone significant...
