    Question to Don

The MOC game has changed quite a bit, and the imbalances posted in no way reflect true supply or demand for a stock. In short, they, (the specialist) friggin LIE! When they do, they are going to take you for a buck or more. So MOC is now a game, where one will make a dime and lose a buck...

    The Opening Orders Thread

Don is much more patient on this then I am. I'd tell you to get off your lazy arse, use google and type in FV, search through the threads on OPG Orders, pull up a futures chart, etc, and you'll find all the answers to your questions!

    The Opening Orders Thread

No substitute for doing the work on your own IMO. Some play it tight, some play it loose. Some choose to take a nickle, some choose to let them run for a few minutes. You need to figure out the right mix for you, and make the strategy your own. As for the OPG strategy, whenever there...

    Imbalances this last week

Trade MOC at your own risk. Stocks can go either way, and once you are commited for the closing print, you are committed to it. I have seen them go in your favor for a buck, and have seen them go against for a buck. To not take the close, risks getting stuck with a position overnight, etc...

    Pair Trading..

That is called arbitrage, and yes, very few of those opportunities. Pair trading, also called statistical arbitrage, works on the premise that similar assets SHOULD be priced similarly. For instance, MS and MER are similar businesses, if one stock deviates from the other, one would buy the...

Learn from the fall of Rome, US warned

You keep sucking down toothpaste, and letting your kids, nephews, neices, or hell even yourself, play with toys painted with lead, and let me know what you are thinking in 20 years. The chinese are very methodical and deliberate about things. They killed millions of people to gain power...

Learn from the fall of Rome, US warned

The fall of Rome, or at least a contributor to the event, is thought to be the LEAD pipes the romans used to transport water. TODAY, we have CHINA, giving our kids TOYS tainted with LEAD, and this is not a scattered event, but hundreds of Toys. I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but...

Goldman Hedge Fund Gets $3B Bailout

The wouldn't disclose the amount, despite attempts made by a few of the analysts, to pry the number from them.

Goldman Hedge Fund Gets $3B Bailout

I don't need to read a post, I was on the call. GS is making a substantial investment. They are basically doubling the fund to cut the leverage in half, around 3.5 to 1, and hoping the undwinding of positions is at least 75% complete, so they can weather the storm.

Goldman Hedge Fund Gets $3B Bailout

Obviously you missed the call....GS is making a substantial investment in the fund!

    F U Fed

That's the job of the FED.....if they didn't provide some liquidity to the market, we might crash so hard we'd face another depression. As for Goldman's global ALPHA fund.....holy shit. These guys suck, and their goes a billion dollars of GS fees! Hey Goldman....how bout going...

    Don Bright

No SPIC insurance at prop firms...reality is, with 5k up, you are 100 times more likley to go under then the prop firm! If losing 5k is that big of a deal to you, then trading is not the right place for you to put your money. I suggest building your stake a bit, and coming in when you have 15k...

Guilt over signing a trading contract

If you have to ask....it's probably not. Your accounts aren't guaranteed, and if a trader blows out, or the firm just isn't making money, you might lose your money. It's part of the risk you take on when joining a firm. There are a few good firms out there, and if you're lucky enough to be...
