    Zero Downside second account

Okay, let's try to have a real discussion without ridiculous comments. * This whole program is completely optional* It has nothing to do with your regular trading, whether you were profitable or not, what your account size is, rate for shares, ect. ect. The only additional cost of running...

    Zero Downside second account

Ahahah this is probably the funniest thing I ever read, I may reply at some point after I stop laughing.

    Zero Downside second account

I know, I was about to respond to a number of posts but decided not too bother. There's some people that just want to be negative to find something to bash and can never be objective.

    Top 30 traders under 30

Yes the game has changed a bit. Intraday trades in pairs are mostly directional and a lot less fading, although there's still many good fade setups over a few days (swing trading) and longer-term horizons. Research is more important than ever.

New guys, now is not the time

I agree with Dustin and a few others and i don't think it's a coincendence volume in equity firms have fallen off a cliff. For some of the newer traders here, this is a cool link about some of the issues we're dealing with in the market: www.defendtrading.com

    Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

I don't think that Bright is hurting there's still 400 or so traders and the profitable ones are still doing well - just not as well as they did in the past :) Check out Dustin's thread about how difficult trading has been this year and you see the picture. This is more of an example of Bright...

    Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

No firm is going to divulge those numbers for a number of privacy reasons. And even if they could those questions are impossible to answer...is Don going to go over the 400 traders and compute how each did each month now vs a year ago? What about those that left, are they making more or...

    Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

Okay, i never defended Bright's rates in the past :) And i'm very happy to get this break (even though i had this seasoned rate), but i think it's something Bright needed to do.

    Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

Sure, but what kind of leverage does IB offer?

    Who Is Don Bright?

Who cares about this, do you really have to knit pick down to the last word...an experienced trader would just treat it like a business and contact them about the rates and his/her strategy. Are you upset about the habs being shit this year?

    Who Is Don Bright?

Everything you say is negative on this forum, show me a post that's been beneficial in some way shape or form? I can show you my inbox of dozens of pms i've replied to people on this site; all of which have been objective and helpful in some way. I've traded at three firms and i'm always...

    Who Is Don Bright?

Hey Naz, what kind of tools and programs does echo have? You can pm if you want, i'm not looking for anything specific just interested in seeing what they may have to offer. Thanks!

    Who Is Don Bright?

I doubt this guy even trades for a living, he's just so negative in every post it's hard to believe he's living a happy life, trading profitably. If he was doing well, why would he care about other traders and what rates they pay, who cares what other people do?

    Who Is Don Bright?

Haha that reminds me of a chat i had with a trader years...trading from home one day i was bored and tried my gf's Nair on my chest hair...I told my buddy trading in the vegas office he should do the same, sit down and trade like nothing out of the ordinary...

    Who Is Don Bright?

I think you're being a tad short-sighted, no? You probably underestimated the scope of the learning curve in this business, whatever the vehicle is, it takes time. And if someone wasn't upfront with you about that from the beginning i'm sorry. If you thought you were gonna 'kill it' out of the...

all those traders who put up "$5000"

That's not entirely true, you can limit your pairs and focus on productivity to grind out intraday profits and gradually build your account over time. It's difficult, but definitely possible.
