end of qtr B.S. They jacked it up higher as expected. Watch the sell-off next week, won't be pretty.

I've noticed that the other major markets all move off the US markets. eg if US stocks close higher, the Hang Seng and Singapore will most likely close higher, then the FTSE and DAX will close higher. Likewise if the FTSE closes strong, US stocks tend to open higher. Has this also been your...

What should my "trigger" be for taking a break?

First quit looking at the dollar amount in your account after each winning trade. Second, focus on the setup of each new trade as a stand-alone trade with its own win/loss probability instead of wether the prior trades were winners or losers. Define your trading plan into flow charts for 1)...

good commentary. Looks like today we got the usual chop in a consolidation phase, with crude being used as a pretext for the jerk-around. One would expect high crude to be priced into the market by now, no reason for dramatic intraday sell-offs.

YM tends to cycle around a mean ( as in average ) price range during a consolidation phase. 10470/10485 is the mean at the moment. If the price had broken above 10560 today I'd have had to close the position at a loss since the reversion from that price would have been unlikely. Right now I'll...

Good trading guys. I've been scaling in short since 10485. Not a pretty picture thus far for my PnL. Looking better though.

Bill Frist - best trader ever

Another pathetic lowlife politician pandering to his electorate. You really have to wonder about the sanity of these people who distort their own professional opinions for a few votes.

    Did P/C ratio reach 1.44?

On initial observation, Spikes above 0.80 seem to indicate short term bottoms. imo anything below and looks less reliable as an indicator. edit: Looked at a few scans, market internals are still weak. either more downside or consolidation.

The Capitalist system, it's flaws and possible solutions.

Where did you get such an idea? I concur fully. laissez faire Capitalism left to itself is a recipe for social disaster. How do you define "limited socialism"?

    Middle class revolt

Why do you think neocons pushed hard for the new UNpatriot laws? It makes it extremely easy to put people away forever without any judicial process. Here's a neocon working at operations......"hmmm.....I hate that Ted Kennedy...haha, I'll put his name on the list!" (...

Time to short corps with Venezuelan assetts?

KRY chart says it's going to happen. Gotta love these tin-pot dictators ( democracy is a scam in poor countries ). Maybe all those rumors on an impending invasion of Venezuela might be true after all. Edit: NEM guys are pretty good traders. http://www.vheadline.com/readnews.asp?id=46023

Blew up 2 accounts: Need input

Choad is correct in his assessment. My assumption is you get your kicks during the run-up phase . Once the account gets large you lose interest. My solution is every 4 months take all the profits out and leave only enough in your trading account so you feel challenged again.

    UoM Consumer Sentiment: Crash?

Astute observations. I'm very bearish longer term in stocks, but bullish short-term (next couple months). Simply because I think the street will take stocks higher so they can minimize their long exposure and rotate out to safety. Too many factors starting to buffet the economy at the macro...
