Thanks everyone for the advice. Regarding automation, I am convinced it is not the way to go as price levels required human review for ranking as each level is unique. (I keep wondering why Richard Dennis needed people even though his system could be automated.. Absence of the Internet as we...

    Self Sabotage or Stupidity?

ammo.. long time.. May I add there are other costs besides money in taking poor trades: You are emotionally drained and therefore less available to take good ones.. AND much worse... the long-term psychological damage of suffering through bad trades can be irreparable and execution...

Currently I am alone during the day.. But good idea.. Almost worth paying someone to do. Business idea!? Suffer no more. We place your trades. Seems extreme though. Hope my ego will allow such an idea. Thanks.

I would seriously love to do this but how do you automate a fluid Price Level based system? (No indicators involved)

I don't trade large. I know a guy that trades with a 50k account but he cannot leave the screen with $50 at risk.

Ironically... I trade more if I begin the day with losses. I trade MUCH less or not at all if I am in profit, not wanting to "spend" any of it. Quite diabolical really... trading more when losing and less when winning.. THIS may be at the core of my issues... As account grows my risk appetite...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Shutting down for the day... I did not take a single signal this morning.. There were 6 of them.. Finally took the 2099 short (not a signal just yesterday's high) and chickened out for a little gain. I just don't get it.. Given this, a keen memory of last Friday, my record with Fridays and...

You are clearly picking trades.. or mezmerized to the point of not "seeing".. Sounds like me:D

I am a prisoner. For years I live in a cell, a very small cell. Most debilitating is this Jail has no walls yet I cannot break out. Like the Elephant chained for so long she still doesn't leave when the chains are removed. Sometimes I imagine an exit but I get burned everytime I try since...

Was unable to trade today... Looks like it was a 6 trade, 38 points day... easy..

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

True.. However I have found when price leaves a TL and returns to succesfully test in over at least an hour the TL 's use grows dramatically... NOT to take the immediate break but as an indication of a change of trend... i.e. stop trading in the TL's direction and reverse bias. I think...

Aaaah.. the fine art of Trend Line drawing.. I had each of these drawn in order.. The break of first steep one is almost always retested.. There is always some ambiguity in trading... perfectionists not invited. NQ not feeling well so far this morning.. 2130 area key.

Failed breakout and subsequent Trend line break.

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Trading less.. good... Quite a "setup" today.. Hammer daily candle yesterday.. "usually" bad for bulls... Failed breakout of 2211.. After the long trendline break at 10:33 the short was as guaranteed to reach globex lows.. Glad I stuck to it. Need to eradicate those pesky rat brained trades...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

2 day losing "streak" over..:) First 6 trades REALLY underline my trade management.. or lack of. After yesterday's EOD drive to 2311 and tank right after close, I was reasonably confident of a short trade.. Took short 2202.25 and came back a few minutes later to see my 2205.25 stop being...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Hourly and 30min trended up from 11:30 on but I chose to short 80% of the time.. go figure. 19 trades.. -7 points for the day..

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Conspiracy theory.. Friday was held up purely to generate last Weeks weekly Hammer Bar.. as you say to attract weak hands.. time will surely tell.

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

This is bullish behavior... EVERY 5 minute red candle since the 11:30 low has been immediately bought..

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

THIS is what leads to my troubled days and overtrading. In fact my system is to get a reversal in a longer time frame them come down to the lower for entry ONLY... but them I get stuck in the Twilight Zone.. If you depend solely on an upper time-frame for signals you are less likely to...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

So for last week... 37.75 points=$755... BUT 126 trades amounting to $567 siphons off the bulk of it. Selectivity has been a foreign word since I got more involved in the fast 9:30 to 16:00 market.. Were all those trade needed to capture the 37.75? I think not. Changes in order.
