    China Trade War =Pullback Trigger?

We have already had a bunch of them, some stocks have already had two since the March low and they have been issuing new bonds at a very fast pace this last quarter. Total debt issuance for the remainder of the year is slated to be very high relative to YTD. That could be a problem for the...

    China Trade War =Pullback Trigger?

LOL buy this dip. They are idiots but not complete idiots, both the Chinese and the US know that neither can afford a trade war right now. Unless they are out iof options in which case they might try and game one so that they will have something to blame when we get the next roar of the bear...

More tax $'s going to bail out banks...

and people who bought more house than they could afford. Don't you just love this stuff, using our tax dollars to give incentives to banks to take the loss they should have been forced to take anyway (how about an accounting change that limits the amount of time a non performing asset can be...

    Market refuses to go down

Those contracts were just a buy the overnight dip trade, sold them during the day sesssion. Only carrying options over the weekend but a sizeable number and unhedged, rare for me and I will admit that I am perhaps on a little bit of a tilt having been short and stung early this summer. Still it...

    Market refuses to go down

The strength in the bid is not going to disappear overnight, there are thousands of short contracts trapped and their efforts at defending their position have not been successful. It won't take much more up side to get them to capitulate. Lots of positive news flow and number will suck in the...

    Market refuses to go down

Hope no one is short going in to the weekend, next week we will likely see the start of the blow off move up that is coming. I am looking for 1060 next week at a minimum.

    Market refuses to go down

The Most Interesting Man in the World told me... to buy this dip. :D

    Market refuses to go down

Disagree, should be good for gold but even better for equities, especially tech. Gold is an OK hedge but people need to park money in something that throws off income and global tech does. A lower USD means higher profits when repatriated in USDs or lower cost of exports and simple asset price...

If the USD loses 3% over the weekend where do you think we open Monday?

    Market refuses to go down

I think it is all about the $, there is a lot of worry that the $ is going to crash soon. That will see a jump in equities (especially tech). and gold. Yes the fundamentals suck and the numbers don't reflect what is really going on but as long as the $ loses value none of it matters anyway...

    Market refuses to go down

Buying the overnight dip has been the easy trade all week, last night was no exception. Big bear capitulation coming very soon now.

    9/11

Like I said, buy the overnight dip, traded down to the BO area and right back up and making new highs. Will hold for the numbers at 10AM which I expect to be great and show inventory draws and rising sentiment. Still time to get on this monster before the short capitulation.

My very personal Goldman Sachs sell program

Do you have any doubt that the administration will do what it takes to backstop the corporate junk market? Why else is all the money coming back in and rates remaining so low? It is because Geithner has made it very clear that they will do what they need to to backstop any credit market that...

    9/11

That's one hell of an edge you are trading with (maybe your feeling about something is not enough to generate discussion?)! :) There is another slew of numbers out in the morning and they will be good. I will be watching for weakness tonight hopefully back to the BO area and will be...

My very personal Goldman Sachs sell program

What more does the Fed and the administration have to do to convince you stragglers that they are serious about backstopping pretty much all significant risk for the forseeable future? It make perfect sense for GS to do that and now that the fear of armageddon is officially off the table money...

    Market refuses to go down

This is the trading forum, none of that econ. mumbo jumbo will make you a dime in the markets right now. FWIW anyone who thinks we are in an inflationary environment after the consumer credit number is pretty much hopeless. Don't confuse USD weakness for inflation. Banks are lending but not...
