Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

Do you have any recommendations on how to do that? My fear is that if I hold back, this situation will still happen. I don’t want to hold back and have this happen still if I could’ve been going full throttle the whole time to maximize my profits

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

I’ve slandered no one. I explicitly state that my conclusions I draw are solely my opinion and if I state they said something to me, it’s cause they did. Tradestation is an excellent broker, and my style of trading isn’t comparable to most other people, so the situation is niche to a small...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

The latter. I just can’t scalp anymore. That’s how I made all my money though. That scalping strategy was yielding 5-10% of my account value or more per day just before my issue I described in this post, so I sure as hell ain’t going back to position trading, as it has never yielded gains that...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

It was via the phone. Called the trade desk this morning as my account was on a hold and they had some head manager give me a call and give me the run down. The market makers, IMO, threw around the accusation of spoofing, even though my orders that I’m placing in my 100k account are minuscule to...

    Recommended brokers for scalping futures

I’m looking for a broker to start trading futures in. I’m looking to scalp futures with the DOM, so I’m trying to find a broker with a good commission structure being the highest priority. Anyone have recommendations that I could research?

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

update: turns out the market makers don’t like my scalping. Got a call from the compliance department at tradestation. They threatened to take me off the platform unless I stop cause the MM were complaining to them, and accused me of possibly spoofing cause of how I place orders to get filled...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

No, according to tradestation. I had asked them that question and I was told that my account would be the same

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

I trade equities with limit orders. The liquidity on the dom is rather high on it, but I haven’t checked with virtu level 2. I was unaware I could do that. My volume on it is rather high, however. I have used TD in the past and switched cause their order execution with slow, cause of their poor...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

I am manual. My account value isn’t yet high enough to automate it and have maximum returns, as my manual trading allows me to break rules and make more money as I can recognize certain nuances

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

My orders do in fact get added to market, as I can watch them get added to the currently existing liquidity in the DOM. They just stop filling after a certain point. I would think it’s just the stock, but the fact that other accounts can still trade it normally is what’s raising the red flag...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

    1. volume was performing per usual. It is extremely rare I lose any money doing this. I most often can recognize a losing trade fast enough to cut out break even and reverse my position. 2. I’m not sure I understand this question well. In my post I was referring to price action (ie the tape and...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

That is interesting. As you can probably tell, I’m still sort of new to this (just over a year), so my knowledge is rather limited surrounding these sort of technical topics despite my level of trading. Should this be the case, are you aware of any market makers that don’t look down upon...

Can a broker intentionally not fill your orders?

Since 0 commission trading happened, I started scalping. I’ve become exceptionally good at it, to the point where I am moving around 1 million shares or more profitably in a single ticker on any given day. Since I’ve reached that mark, however, I’ve noticed that tickers who reach a threshold of...

Order Lag in Tradestation. Please Help

I use the free one as i typically have the fastest fill rate by doing so vs selecting the exchanges. Just my experience using it. I’m curious as to how that would cause the platform to lag though. It’s not that my orders aren’t being made quickly, it’s that the updates to my platform (ie order...

Order Lag in Tradestation. Please Help

Let me explain the full scope of what’s happening so this issue cannot be just placed on a volatile market or a shitty computer setup or something else common. I am a scalp trader. As a result, I place hundreds of trades throughout the day, often times on just a single ticker. In the morning...

Can using a vps with TD thinkorswim eliminate the current lag issues with them?

AMD ryzen 3700X 8-core processor, 16gigs of ram. sry im not sure if that is what u were looking for, as i am not a computer expert by any means. Everything else on the computer runs amazing. it is just the thinkorswim platform

Can using a vps with TD thinkorswim eliminate the current lag issues with them?

that is what I am doing now, but it would be far easier and much more convenient if I could continue to use the TOS platform. Would a vps work if I decide to go that route? I know that larger firms that use the TOS platform do not experience the same issues that the average trader does when...

Can using a vps with TD thinkorswim eliminate the current lag issues with them?

Thank you for the reply. I recently switched over to tradestation, but miss my setup on TD. was just trying to officially rule out the possibility of being able to use it. Ive read that a vps can reduce latency and improve execution speeds, but idk if thatll fix my issues that im having with TD.

Can using a vps with TD thinkorswim eliminate the current lag issues with them?

I've been using thinkorswim for almost a year now, and something I've noticed about them is the amount of lag that is present on their platform, especially at the open, making it difficult sometime to get an order out there without extremely poor order execution speeds. Also, i notice a lag on...

Is the DOM in Thinkorswim complete with all the order books?

One mans trash is another mans treasure. I trade order flow and would like to see all of the orders, not some. I fail to see the stupidity of it but I suppose this is a classic event of you can’t play chess with a pigeon.
