    Vonage IPO

I'm also thinking of getting some of these IPO shares (I'm a customer). It seems buying thru UBS might work best (0.06/shr to sell) vs. 0.12+ for Citi and Deutsche. think this is worth loading up?

Althucher guesses: trend funds to disappear within the next 10 years...

This is an interesting discussion... What's behind their (JWH, Dunn etc) drawdowns? Does anyone here know? Oil, metals and most commodities have been on a bull trend for a few years..so what gives? Are they betting that the higher order trend in these is still down? or are they getting...

    ER2 has topped?

I am somewhat impressed by this market particularly since the beginning of the year. Seems all intraday selloffs are shrugged off and then the churn begins to raise it to a new level. There were so many days similar to today that I now have come to expect it; however I have a hard time buying...

    ER2 has topped?

I haven't tested these but recently I came across these biases posted (by Art Collins) in another thread you might find interesting (if you haven't already).... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61477&perpage=6&pagenumber=23

Is the thread title appropriate now? (once again?) :) somehow it feels like a bear attack is lurking around the corner...

Odds Czar: Simple Biases in the Futures Markets 2006

based on the biases posted above for April 4th, Nasd = +7 bias count and Russell2K = +6 bias count. Don't they mean that they are biased towards a rally and not a selloff? also, given S&P = +3 bias, at least Nasd and Russell probably outperform the S&P... right? hope my interpretation of...

Mini Nasdaq Has Changed The Tick Value

while we are on the subject, why are listed stock options trade at 0.05 increments? they should take it down to 0.01, imo -- specially for the low priced options, 0.05 increment seems way too high.

    ER2 has topped?

polpolik, the following article (jan '06) has some good longterm charts of large vs. small cap relative performance and how it has stretched in the last few years (also the article is interesting). http://www.kitcocasey.com/displayArticle.php?id=162 There were few other good charts...

    ER2 has topped?

Actually, Russell 2000 has been outperforming SP500 for the last 7 years... if this is the turn, it will be good for a number of years, imo

    ER2 has topped?

Is this the beginning of er2 underperformance vs. es? It will be choppy as this starts to take hold. A new quarter, a new trend?

    resumption of the bull market?

Do you keep track of count in Russell 2000? It seems to be in a totally different chart compared to the other major US equity indices... like to hear your view on it. Russell 2K's

    Trading Movies?

how about, Groundhog Day :) Day in and day out you wake up with a losing position , it's de ja vu all over again... sorry couldn't help, sometimes it feels like it. Any movies that you'd want to see to get a spirits boost when in a drawdown rut?

    ER2 has topped?

yep... that's called buying it cheap and then marking it up when the seller is gone. and also window dressing for a nice quarter.

    ER2 has topped?

even though high was 770.90, er2 settled at 771.80 because of monthend and ES at 1303.30 I would give a few days next week for the bullish enthusiasm to die off before trying anything on the short side. btw, what is EMD?

    ER2 has topped?

This is what I'm talking about... from 3:45 till 4:15, er2 is ramped up while ES and Dow were going down...(difference of about 4 er2 points!) anyone has an insight to this action? ... all i can think of is, funds buying to get a better close..?. (I don't think this is short covering which...

    ER2 has topped?

I've noticed that "they" somehow manage to get it up towards the month-end closes .. (this time it's also a qtr-end).. but today looks a weak attempt so far however er2 outperfoming ES since AM selloff -- "they" just keep on churning and churning ... there have been so many days, AM profits...

    ER2 has topped?

Exactly my thoughts.... I was expecting more downside to er2 in the selloff but it's still showing strength in a overall weak market. I think this is an indication that shorts aren't yet capitulated. Seems the pain is still w/ the shorts .. Also given that quarter-end is around the corner...

Agree w/ NTB. Why many are claiming trend following is dead? aren't they making money?
