    SPX Credit Spread Trader

Goes quick if you use a market order. Even with the wide b/a, you can still make money. SDS was @ $70.57 last I looked, up from $69.38 just before noon.

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

    Hmmm.. Bought 100 SDS this morning in a paper trade @ 69.38. It's now up to $70.05. This could be a day-trader's delight---if I day-traded. :D

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

Two reasons... First you can buy long on SDS and it acts like a short. Second, it will have less margin impact.

OX shows no options---very little data actually. All I know is that it moves 2:1 with SPX (XSP) and inversly.

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

Anyone looked at SDS as a hedge. Their movement is 2:1 and appears that may be something to consider and profit from.

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

I closed a SPY credit spread this morning just after the initial peak. Thought I take a small $0.50 profit rather that wait. Seems the SPX spikes and ebbs are getting wilder. Cru

SPX dropped from 1281+ to 1271 in about 2 minutes! Quess that hold on interest rates wasn't what the institutions wanted to hear?

I've had a number of successes when I make an order as GTC and let it runover to the next day. That's worked fairly well this summer. Cru

I'm not ashamed to say I'm a newbie. Here it was I thought you'd come up with a new strategy. :p

    Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

Well, SPX just hit 1280 with 13 minutes to go for the day. Apparently the institutions are buying a bit.

    Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

A head-n-shoulders pattern has formed on SPX and that's supposed to mean a break to the bear side. I'm not sure how much I believe in chart patterns, but I don't believe in bowing towards Chicago either. On the other hand, if praying towards Chicago helps... :D

    Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

Haven't looked at it today. I had been watching this position and when the long side went up so much, it was too good an opportunity to miss---so I grabbed it. Cru

    Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

I have a AUG 1300/1320C. Initially it was a 1300/1310 but I was able to adjust the long side for another $1 credit earlier this week. Total for the spread now is $1.85. Sweating the short side a bit.

    Optionsxpress Sucks For Service

Get on the OX forum on the OX site and state your problems. The OX president and Sr VP both review the site and very often directly respond to postings. They will work with you. I've found OX to be very responsive. I had one issue getting someone on the chat CS interface, complained and...

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

Today's S&P increase caught me by surprise. I rolled my JUL OEX 580/585 bear call into a JUL 575/580 bull call. Should break even if OEX reaches 580 and stays there tomorrow.

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

I just opened another JUL trade. Jumping on the bear wagon again. JUL OEX 580/585 bear call @ 0.70. It was @ 1.10 yesterday but couldn't get filled at that price. Still with only a week to go and OEX at 566.50 at this time, it was too good an opportunity to miss. Cru
