    Do the opposite trade

Risk management is the foundation and secondary. Taking position is primary.. Good entry will make money more often. Bad entry will lose money. The tricky part is - sometimes the bad entry makes money...that inculcates a bad habit. If a strategy can’t predict correctly most of the time -...

Looking CME + NYSE(NASDAQ) low latency environment

If your algo is trying to win with sub milli sec latency, you are directly competing with the big guys who spend a fortune on infrastructure and try to profit a few ticks. Your algo may be fine on sim but slippage will be very high in live trading. Just look at the quote movement on these...

Do any prop shops/firms have an edge?

Generally, I find this book entertaining. But what confuses me is his usage of magic T indicator. In those days, were the market cycles intraday that predictable?

Do any prop shops/firms have an edge?

There may be something to learn about how inventory is accumulated....it is worthwhile knowing, as a retail trader what may come your way.

Any good alternative to Interactive Brokers or Etrade in Australia?

The originator of the thread has not replied since starting the thread... Anyway, if you are not going to use any of the functionalities other than placing orders, you are better off using someone like commsec, nabtrade, etc. They may charge more in commission but no market data fee. And works...

    IB Down again?
