    The Original B*a*r*r*o*n*s Game !

The TKR article stood out for me, that's the kind of comapny private equity likes. Also DEO mentioned in the Brown Foreman article. You just cannot go wrong with SIN stocks these days, gambling, alcohol and tobacco. On another note, I'm playing hurt this weekend, I was walking in to the...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Peek "He read books, memorized them, and then placed them upside down on the shelf to show that he had finished reading them, a practice he still maintains. He reads a book in about an hour (A page of text in ten seconds, reading two pages at a time, the left...

$5000 day, Is that what you would consider a good day?

    1995-2000

Historically an oz. of gold has bought 17 or so barrels of oil. Now the ratio is about 11 barrels. This speaks to higher gold or lower oil. With the historical ratio intact, oil would be somewhere around $40. I think the $20 or so difference in oil can be called the "Bush Premium"

    Option MM books

Lee thanks for that- I stumbled on your website last night and was reading some of the articles. Its seems pretty interesting. How much power do the MMs have to pin an underlying to a strike on expiration? Look at NBR today which was totally pinned to the 30 handle all day and I'm guessing...

    Hedge Funds and Programming

First, I never said anything about a "hobby" second, you could answer either of the other 2 questions, it probably takes a good 10-15 years to become proficient as a surgeon, and probably a few hours to learn to lie good enough to be a lawyer. So if the correct answer is 10 years, then so be...

    Hedge Funds and Programming

It seems like the best way to get into a hedge fund these days is to be able to program. If you already have an extensive trading background, what language is best to learn? C++? Also, how long does it usually take to become proficient in C++?

BofA issues CCs for illegal immigrants

Around here its the "illegals" who are the hardest working. I hear them out shovelling snow in the winter, before I'm even up, mowing lawns in the heat of summer, washing cars all day, etc. They're probably a better credit risk than the fatso who sits on the couch all day eating bonbons...

BofA issues CCs for illegal immigrants

What's wrong with this? How can you expect these people to ever be good 'Murkans unless they experience the joys of debt? This country is powered by debt, and quite frankly, the more people that have credit cards, the better off we all are. :p
