The terminology in real estate is misleading with regard to bid/offer. Most people say they make an offer on a house. If you're buying, you make a bid on a house, not an offer. But that's the prevailing lexicon.

What do you think of Selling Dec07 wheat and buying July08 wheat? The spread is very large, and seems to be coming in. Plus if the near month goes down, there will probably be less planting, and therefore less supply in the July 08 crop. Just a thought.

This is getting fun. Shorted some corn last night, now limit down. My strategy- when CNBC starts giving grain updates and talking about the high prices, its time to short. Tried to sell some cotton too, but the spread was too big, I got cheap. Why does CT trade with such a big spread?
