A must watch video, Obama's radical tax plan...

http://www.cbpp.org/12-12-05tax.htm A recent paper by Federal Reserve economists Gene Amromin, Paul Harrison, and Steve Sharpe finds that the 2003 dividend and capital gains tax cuts did not raise U.S. stock values. As a Wall Street Journal article summarizes it, the study “concludes that...

A must watch video, Obama's radical tax plan...

Bush's plan of tax cuts is definitely better. The market sure has surged since he got in-- did you know since the MBA President started, the market is up about 4%? Not 4% per year, 4%. Compare that to the tripling under Clinton. Raising taxes does not necessarily hurt the market. Maybe...

Do you know which brokers provide live DJ newswire? Is it truly live? My understanding was that a live DJ feed is very expensive.

This is how Warren Buffett buys stocks, wait till a huge margin of safety exists and bet huge. What trades have you made lately? Do you use a similar philosophy on the short side?

    Augment Trading with Real Estate

IMO- Real Estate is a full time profession if you want to do it right. Would you dabble in law or surgery? Probably not, if you wanted to be successful. The last 12 months have proven to us- real estate is not for amateurs. Find your core competency and stick to that. If you want real...

    Steve Cohen Photo...

I've been thinking that about the art world for years. Someday someone is going to wake up and say---its a FREAKING picture. But they keep going up in value. Look at Rothko, basically 2 or 3 huge blotches of color and they go for millions.

McDonald's coffee bars to take on Starbucks

I find thoughts of the American Consumer (AC) cutting back hysterical. When's the last time you ever saw the AC deny themselves en masse? Americans consume and will keep doing so. McCafe will kill Starbucks like McPizza killed Domino's. McD's tries lots of ideas, few of them work. Their...

Bush to Meet with PPT tomorrow

More specifically Brittany Spears, or probably the whole Spears family is the circus. Until someone proves otherwise, I believe they are on the Bush payroll. No one is that wacked-out.

Bush to Meet with PPT tomorrow

Do you think Bush plays Nintendo DS or Gameboy while the adults are talking about the economy? Or did they get him an iPhone to fool around with?

    SPR- sell sell sell

Since we've been filling the SPR with oil for the past few years and its roughly double in size, why don't we start selling some out for a profit? It would give the Treasury some funds and also push down the price of oil.
