    Scalping stocks

One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of small gains compounded over several hundred trades can add up to a lot of money. This is assuming your strategy has a positive expectancy and your commissions don't eat up too much of your profit. For example, if you can make 0.3% on each trade and roll...

    Log file - C++ - Python

If you can locate the log file(s) then you can write a simple program in Python to read this log file and do whatever you want with that information (assuming these files are text based and easily readable). There are many videos on YouTube describing how to read a text file in Python.

Any screeners for sudden price drops or spikes?

I don't think you can do it on the mobile app. I use the desktop version for this under the "Scan" tab.

Any screeners for sudden price drops or spikes?

I use a scanner in Thinkorswim that looks for unusual volume and price gap up/down on 1 minute bars. It works fine.

    SFIX fix

Pending means not sent yet. You want the trade to be active, i.e. sent to the exchange and getting filled if/when your limit price is reached.

    SFIX fix

I'm not sure....I rarely trade options on TWS.

I have 200 short of zagg.cvr. what is it?

It looks like best case you'll be paying $4.20 per share, worst case $4.50 ($4.20 per share + $0.30 for a Contingent Value Right [CVR]). It's no longer traded as of Feb 18/21. Do a quick Google search and you will find the details.

    Data verification software

Nothing, I'm not looking. I would create a piece of software like this myself (even though I have no idea what it does exactly). Your original post was looking for data converter software....why not just create it yourself?

    Data verification software

This doesn't help.....I would need to know the input file format and the type of data errors you're looking for.

    Data verification software

If you provide some examples and sample data I can work with you to create a custom piece of software. I do this kind of stuff all of the time with data sources I use.

New to trading with high guarenteed income

First of all, potential stock profits are not real. The only thing that's real is the net liquidation value of your account. Second, if you have dual citizenship don't you have to pay tax in the US on the annuity? US will tax you wherever you are based on global income. Third, I recommend you...

    Premarket Trading Firms

Yes it would be. I was just pointing out the outside RTH times that IB supports.

    Premarket Trading Firms

IB for 4pm to 8pm and 4am to 9:30am. No beefs, just have to be patient getting filled using limit orders.

    Vevtorvest - any good?

In general I like VectorVest.....I've gotten their 1 month trial several times but never committed to an on-going subscription. As mentioned their database is very good for both US and Canadian stocks. I like their methodology in terms of market sentiment and they have some very good user...

How do you manage estate tax risk as non-US trader?

It depends how much you have in US assets relative to your entire estate and where you reside. For Canadians there's a tax-treaty which includes a unified credit pro-rated based on the ratio of US assets to the total worldwide estate. The following site provides an example...

Need help calculating IRR on different positions

One way to look at it is what you got out vs. what you put in. In your case you're left with $40 on a $25 outlay (it doesn't matter how it was done, long/short). This gives you a 60% return (40/25 - 1) over 3 years or a compounded annual return of 17.0%.

    Canadian stock TSX day trading

I trade TSX and TSXV stocks including higher volume (those in the TSX 300 composite) and smaller caps (not micro caps). I'm not involved in day trading but my trading frequency is fairly regular (i.e. weekly rotation type strategy). I find it more difficult than Nasdaq and NYSE due to less...
