Stockpredictor, can you detail on this? If price isn't trending are options cheaper? I hear writing options is more profitable but the win rates seem so much bigger buying?
Would it be possible to use these % chance of expiring in the money to predict direction? Bro I never got this. If you know there is x % chance it will expire in the money, then you know where price will be, right? So sell or buy the stock in that direction and score??

Followed lots of that on reddit.
I totally get SELLING at put if you want more stock at a better price. Stock is 100. You want more at 90. Look sell a 90 put. Then, if price goes down, you get the money from the put and the shares you were going...
Everybody says writing options is a "good way to make money," the "super secret no one knows," etc.
I get it. You write an option. You get paid. Ok. But this profit curve looks shit:
If you think is gonna go one way, why not just buy (or sell) the stock? What am I not seeing? They says...
Ok what if I buy 50, not 100, shares of ABC stock on 1/2/2021. Then on 1/3/2021, I buy an OTM put, which expires out of money. So it's a loss. Because I bought the stock less than 30 days prior, does that mean I can't claim the loss?
