That stuff is all voodoo my friend... just look at the chart.
This stock has had its day in the sun. it may ONE DAY come back but other than a retracement bounce that aint happening soon regardless of what the fundies are saying.

A) if only the market worked with such rationality !
B) This is a short term play for me..I dont think Ford is going to go below $5.5 before resuming an uptrend.

its a weak stock and this is a weak market. its also a pubic hair away from resistance at ~7.
I expect it to fall back to form a head and shoulders bottom before it makes any significant move.
I will get out if it gets near 5.5

Yes...a vast number of people are living beyond their means...they are not saving..they are paying more attention to Britney than their finances...all true.
But there are also plenty of folks that simply got...
I take $500 every month and stick it in a different OTC stock below $2.
Every year at least one of them goes up at least 1000% and more than makes up for any losers.
I do it more out of fun but one day I could see one of those 10,000% gains :)

RIMM had the exact same pattern /gap up on huge volume break down just a couple months ago.
Look at December...cup and handle..broke out with a gap up and then cascaded back down to fill the gap AND go on to new lows.
Same thing is going to happen again.
Well there yoou go...all we do is sell two months before this film hits and life is grand !
Actually I think we really are starting to see the irrational exuberance of the late 90s all over again.
Once the S&P breaks into new highs things are going to get very scary
Out of curiosity I ran the numbers for the past 20 trading days
If someone had bought Aapl on market open and sold each day at close I would be DOWN 2.5%
If someone had bought on market open 20 days ago and sold on fridays close I would be UP 6.5%
Interesting how the gap ups can make or...
I think some would call my trading technique 'gambling'
Every day I buy AAPL at market open with 100% of my equity and full margin.
