    any trader from the Philippines?

Hmm, I still have their ad I cut out from the Inquirer Classifieds a month ago and there they specifically state that they offer "guaranteed P10K/month *during training*", and that got me confused also because from the posts I've researched here in this forum & in other sites the standard...

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

Anyone who could answer my questions from Swift Trade Manila, or any of the other two branches in the country? How long have they been operating here, if they already have 3 branches? I thought they were still relatively new here given it was only last month when I first came across their ad in...

    Trading Opportunities In Manila

Hey, thanks for replying, sorry it took so long for me to post again. So you don't trade in the PSE because it's too "small-time" or dominated by "tsupiteros" or rigged by certain cliques, hehe. I'm also interested in doing what you're now doing but I need to build up capital first obviously...

    any trader from the Philippines?

Hi chaosbaby (BTW, M or F?), I also started a thread a while back about Swift Trade Manila because I was interested in working there just to learn about daytrading. I researched a lot about it and in the US, a 7-day training like that costs ~$5000, so it's okay with me if they would pay "only"...

    Trading Opportunities In Manila

What do you mean by "independent trader"? Do you trade local stocks through BPITrade or COL? How did you start out and where did you learn the ropes? Do you know of any other prop firms similar to Swift operating or planning to operate here? TIA.

    Trading Opportunities In Manila

Jsyyap, so I take it you work for Swift Trade Manila? :) I didn't know they were operating here long enough to establish not just 1 but 3 branches already. Exactly when did their Philippine operation start? I assumed they were new here since I just came across their ad recently. Care to share...

    Trading Opportunities In Manila

This is not true, this is the first time I've heard of such a "law". But there are immigration laws in place that require aliens to get residency & work permits first (just like in any other country).

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

Manila, Philippines, not Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia .

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

Yes, thanks. I'll try to give updates if I can. That is really my main objective, to learn without having to pay for the training and to have an opportunity to trade without using my own money :D.

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

I already mentioned that near the end of my first post. It's around US $200 (around the same as what was mentioned for other branches in Asia & Eastern Europe). My point was, if it was normal to be paid a certain amount while you were still in training, because from what I've read in other...

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

Yes, we all know that, that's the reason for all the outsourcing in BPO & the call center industries right? Heck, if they can set up multiple branches in China, Taiwan & other places in Asia, why not in the Philippines? It's no worse & may be even better than most of the other sites in the...

Swift Trade Manila Branch, a few questions...

Uh, why? What's wrong with that? That's 10K in the local currency, not in dollars :p.
