1 contract to 49 contracts require $500 day margin for E mini SP & E mini NQ. 50+ contracts require $1000* day margin (ES & NQ). 100+ contracts require additional margin (ES & NQ) So the more experienced you are, the more margin you need :confused:

I don't think you will be able to do that with the IB feed. You can have a look at the software compatible with the myTrack data feed which is very cheap http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=206799#post206799

Eldredge, You are talking about flattening / steepening of the yield curve. That's the core of bond trading. If you buy the bond and sell the note, that's a flattening trade because what you expect is the yield curve to become flatter one way or another (there are different possibilities)...
