All: Silk traded Nasdaq for a few years for a living before starting at Listed. His numbers are unquestionably top tier this year. With the possible exception of our 2000/2001 champion EC I think he had top numbers at the Florida branch. Perhaps he was always meant to be a...

The 4 games winning streak came to an end today as I was ice cold all game long. If I can find anything encouraging at all was that I milked one big winner which prevented this from being a total blow out. 20700 shares each way on 2 of 12 shooting, +406 before commissions, -220 after, 3...

Hit List Moment: From: Hitman Sent: 2/5/2001 5:21 PM THE HITMAN IS NOW PROFITABLE . . . It has been 3 and 1/2 month since I made my first trade at this firm, and I am finally even, starting tommorrow, every dollar I make, 85 cents goes into my pay check. I have 7 games left in the...

I have to count my lucky stars to finish January the way I did. For an entire month I struggled until the very end when I closed it with my best back-to-back performance since April 2001. The princess's smile shined upon me and I closed the month on a high note. Let's be serious here...

Just two games ago, beating January 2001's numbers felt impossible. At the time, just being up for the month felt like a herculean task, and January 2001 which was my first profitable month ever, at $2800, was totally out of question. Well, what a difference two games make, a gift of a day...

It is called a MARKET ON CLOSE print. You will NOT get that print even if you put in your order at the closing bell. You have to put in a MOC order to get the last print of the day, when the specialist has a huge buy imbalance (many many many stocks did, check out LXK for example), the last...

Should I work for Generic Trading of Phila. ?

Worldco charges no monthly fees, and for zero capital contribution we can give you a substantially better deal. (You will do no worse than 1.4 cent 70% payout at Worldco with zero money up front). Generic gives the most god-awful rates in the industry, and I have been aggressively recruiting...

A long sigh of relief came out of me as the closing bell finally went off. It took a total gift of a day, on which the bottom guy on firm's top 30 list made 11K, to bring me back into black for 2002. While I didn't even tap into half the potential of this game, it just feel good to be up for...

I was actually lucky to be up $5 today, when I put up that PNC bullet I knew I was losing it. At the end of the day I actually went in a little bigger than I did in the morning (from 300-500 to 500-700), and that could handed me a substantial loss.

GWB: I have to agree that I have been too diversified on stocks and I have absolutely no go-to stock to speak of. This is a weakness I must address. Brandon: At the highest level of the intraday game (at least at my firm), a "losing streak" is more like making substantially...

There won't be a better game for a struggling trader than today, and this is the kind of game you have to score big on. Yet once again I struggled and did not have a single bullet up until 11AM, and had to barely (and I mean it) squeeze into the black in closing seconds. With two games...

Very annoying game as I was up $650 first 10 minutes of the game only to close it with yet another blah. Once again, the horrendous short game on gap and trap days cost me a golden opportunity to cut the deficit in half. I am seriously considering to play just the long side and forget bullets...

My max share limit is 3000 shares 16 positions, but I don't trade more than 1000 and in this losing streak I cut most to 500 but still went hard on stuff that has low risk. Pare in and out's tend to create a lot of churning. I pay $60 for the minimum size bullet (1500 shares).

23300 shares EACH WAY, so that comes out to be 46000 shares roundtrip, plus 1 bullet. From now on I will use roundtrip volume instead since that seems to be the industry standard.

Yet another loss, for some reason I can not play at a level about .500 this month, I haven't got any consistent scoring from any sectors and it is very hard to be consistent that way. 23100 shares each way on 6 of 18 shooting, +325 before commissions, -234 after. For some strange reason...

All sort of styles are involved, what works for one trader, no matter how successful, may never work for another. My goal is to build a team of diversed styles, this way if I get cold it won't mean everyone else will get cold, chances are some people will find something that works at any...

While the fact that my best game of the month is $700 doesn't give me much bragging rights, it couldn't came at a better time as I was able to cut the deficit to just under triple digits with this win. Finally I got some production out of chemicals, a bread and butter sector for me, as I...

    NYSE Open Book

It is a joke. It is supposed to be the equivalent of Nasdaq Level II so you can see the orders at each level. I was watching IBM's open book and I rarely saw anything more than 5000 shares at each level, yeah right. The 10 second delay makes this a total garbage of a tool, I thought it...

The lone spark after the close was when I have finally inked my name on that contract. Within a couple of weeks I will get full control of everything from commission rates to share limits, I will probably come up with clearly defined rules such as "if you trade this much volume you will get...
